Chapter 4 Why, Papyrus...?

"SEE? I TOLD YOU I SAW IT LAST NIGHT..." you hear Papyrus say in a soft whisper.

"S-stop it guys.." you hear a familiar, female voice say.

"They're gonna be so pissed when they wake up... Ha..!" another voice says.

You hear laughter as you slowly open your eyes.

You jerk up as you see Papyrus, Alphys, and Undyne all crowded around you.

"W-what are you guys doing here?!" You say, trying your best not to wake the sleeping skeleton beside you.

"Paps told us he saw you and Sans sleeping on the couch last night. So we HAD to come see." Undyne scoffed.

"T-to be fair... I d-didn't know until I got here." Alphys admits.

You hear Sans groan beside you as he wakes up.

"GOOD MORNING, SANS!" Papyrus exclaimed.

"w-what the hell are you guys doing here?!" Sans asks.

Undyne laughs.

Alphys shakes her hands in the air. "I-I'm sorry, Sans... U-Undyne dragged me here! I didn't-"

"Oh Alphys, Alphys, Alphys..." Undyne chimed in. "It was amazingly see, was it not?"

Alphys opens her mouth to say something. Shut.

"Ha!! I knew it!!" Undyne yelled.

Alphys blushes as she turns the other way.

You feel your cheeks heat as Sans grabs you by the wrist and practically drags you to his room.

He pulls you in and slams the door calling out for Papyrus when he does.
You sit on the bed as you watch Sans pace back and forth.

"cantbelievethathewoulddothat.... ugh..." Sans mumbles

Papyrus knocks on the door. "SANS? YOU WANTED TO SEE ME?"

Sans opens the door and Papyrus hugs him.

"a-ah! what are you doing?!"

Papyrus doesn't even answer, he just keeps hugging him. He gestures you over and you stand.

He then secretly hands you a piece of paper from behind Sans' back.
You unfold it carefully.

It's a note. It says: I TOLD YOU I'D HELP YOU GET SECOND BEST!

Your cheeks flush as you shove the paper into your pocket.

Sans struggles as he gets out of Papyrus' grip.

"what the heck!!" He says. "first you invite undyne and alphys over, and now this?!"

"Oh come on, Sans." You say.

He looks at you.

"Have a little more 'backbone'"

He snickers. "jeez kid."

"UGH... YOU TWO.... WELL I'LL BE OFF!! IF YOU NEED ME, I'LL BE IN MY ROOM." Papyrus says walking out.
Sans turns towards you.

You look away from his gaze, hoping that will help with your red face.

"well.... that was.... uhh? kid?" He lifts you head with his hand.

"U-uh! Yeah! That was weird!" You say quickly, pulling away from his touch.

"okay?"

"Hey punks!!!" You hear Undyne yell from downstairs. "Get down here!!!!!"

"Well! U-Undyne is calling us... so.. I'll just... go.." you say, trying to slide past him.

"you're acting weird." Sans says

"W-what are you talking about?!" you say.

You felt your soul become heavy as you see him pick you up with blue magic.

"B-blue magic?" You ask, remembering fighting Papyrus.

"shhh! paps doesn't know." He tells you.

"He doesn't?" You say as he carries you back to the back of his room.

"nope."

He sets you down and stands in front on the door so you can't get out.

"Blocking me from the big bad world?"

He turns a slight shade of blue. "sure, kid.."

You walk towards him and he flinches. You put you hands on either side of him, pressing your palms to the door.
You lean forward to say something and he vanishes.

'That was easy' you think to yourself.

You walk out and see Undyne and Alphys siting on the couch. You join them and watch some T.V.

Sooner or later, Sans comes out of his room.

You decided to be casual, "How was the nap?" You ask him.

"nap?" He says coming down the stairs.

You wink as he sees that Undyne and Alphys are still there.

"uhhh, it was good" he says, smiling at you.

You all sat watching T.V. and let the morning go by.
