"Habit, when I thought "adventure", this isn't exactly what I had in mind," I say.

We are walking through the woods, and he's holding my hand and it's almost like we are an actual regular couple. He even sheathed his hatchet for this walk, which I'm not sure was a good idea considering our luck.

We'll probably run into more skinwalkers.

He doesn't speak.

So, I try again, only this time, I don't play around.

"What was it like? Being ... being me?"

"Weird," he says finally. "I've never had boobs before."

I laugh. "I'm sure you have, though."

He shrugs.

We keep walking in silence before I stop at a bubbling stream. I walk away from Habit just briefly enough to follow its lead to a beautiful waterfall. I stare at the beautiful and majestic water, and I can't help but be taken aback by it.

The way the cool waters cascade down the rocks could take your breath away.

Ever since I had those brushes with death, I've found the beauty in pretty much anything and everything. I used to take things for granted, like most people do, but now I understand why things are the way they are.

I sit down on the ground, and stare into the woods before me.

I'm so transfixed by it that I didn't realize Habit had kept walking. Or that a skinwalker was following me.
