[First, we have a couple battles against incredibly easy enemies. The Fate Extra battle system works thus: There are three basic actions which have a rock-paper-scissors relationship, as demonstrated in the bottom left of the screen. Each round of combat is six actions, which you decide beforehand, based on what information you have available about your enemy's actions that round. You can also use your Servant's skills in place of standard actions, and once around a Master can either cast a spell or use an item. That's the basics.]
[We level up! Here I learn that 1) the currency in this game is called Sakurament, which is...weird, and 2) instead of the strangely inscrutable point-investing system used in Fate/Extra, Servants in CCC just gain stats and skills automatically as they level up. Also, Gil's first battle skill is called "Lose the Winds," which is like when Gilgamesh and Enkidu fight Humbaba and Shamash loses all the winds to help them so basically it's great. It's a basic attack skill, which generally can be used to do more damage, and to cancel any basic actions the opponent takes other than "guard," which will defend against it to some extent. Anyway, the game has had enough of me fighting things, back to talking a lot!]
There's a solid door blocking the path. It looks like the arena continues past this door, but...
Leo: An odd door, isn't it? Its material properties are a Black Ice-model program. The security level is...star? Sakura, what is this star symbol?
