You sat on the floor as Jennie roughly played with your hair. She was too happy since Taehyung had told the both of you to wait in his room because he had a surprise. She was blabbing on and on about what Taehyung had planned.
"Or what if he got a puppy!" The girl yelled enthusiastically.
"Why on earth would he get a dog?"
"I've always wanted a dog and Taehyung was always beside me when I would beg Namjoon oppa." She pouted "he would always say no though."

You smiled at the elder's cuteness. Seriously though, she's older than you by two years and yet she acts exactly like your sister. Maybe that's why you don't hate her as much as the others.

"Did you ever have a dog growing up?" Jennie asked suddenly.
"I did. When I was nine my dad brought home a dog that he found on the street."

"Omg What was its name?" She Jumped off the bed and sat next to you in the floor.
"Since my dad found him he named him on his way home without any of our input so he was stuck with Yong as his name."

Her face dropped "that's weird."
You chuckled. "Yeah well. My dad was very weird." Your eyes then stared at the space between your crossed legs. Jennie saw the look of sadness in your eyes.

"Why do you talk about your dad as if he's gone?" Jennie asked without a second thought. In that moment she completely forgot that right now you were being held prisoner.

"Who knows when I'll ever see him again. My siblings as well. Even Hani for goodness sake." You sighed.

"I'm sorry." Jennie felt the guilt. "I'm sorry that my family is keeping you from yours." She felt the strain in her throat. In that moment she could burst out in tears.

You looked at the girl. "Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault that I'm in this situation. You have been a prisoner longer than I've been. What is been like two months for me but you... you've been here for five years."

Jennie roughly wiped away her tears, but was still carful due to her makeup.
"Can I ask you..."

The girl's puffy eyes looked directly into your soul, in this moment you felt like mush.
"Ask me what?"

"What happened to you? Why is your brother so obsessed about keeping you from everyone else? Why can't you be seen?"

She looked away. Taking a deep breath forcing a pursed smile on her lips. The girl sniffed deeply then looked at you.
"I am dead."

You furrowed your eyebrows.

"That's what everyone thinks. That's what he thinks."

You wanted to ask more questions but you wanted to hear the rest.

"It's been five years since I've been outside while being with my brother. But In Reality it's been much longer."

You couldn't help but interrupt.

"Wait. What is that supposed to mean? How-"

"When I was eight years old my father found out that I wasn't his biological daughter." The girl spewed those words with no emotion.
You gulped as you looked at her profile.

"He was dangerous and evil as much as he was powerful. And so when the leader of gangs found out that his wife had a baby that wasn't his....he got very upset."

Though she had no expression, You could practically see the horrid memories in her expression.

"A normal day turned into a nightmare. I still remember that my mother was in the middle of cooking breakfast while My brother was helping me with my homework then suddenly he stormed in."
