"You're beautiful," Perrie said softly.

"I haven't had an orgasm in over two years." I pressed the heel of my hand against one eye, overcome with relief. "I wasn't sure I could anymore."

"Sounds like you didn't have any problem in that area. In fact, we managed to get you there pretty quickly."

Blushing, I said, "All credit to you."

"Give yourself some of that credit. It wasn't my hand." She chuckled. "Unfortunately."

"I hope it's your hand soon. Or your mouth," I said shyly. It would take some time to get used to flirting so blatantly, but it was nice to feel desirable again.

"Me, too," she said.

I bit my lip. "Did you come?"

"Oh." She giggled, sounding shy herself. "Well, no. I was trying to focus on you."

"But were you...touching yourself?"

"A little. Maybe."

I grinned. "Do you think you could finish?"

"Oh, uh." She cleared her throat, then laughed. "Yeah. Definitely."

"Will you?"

"Sure." When she spoke again, her voice was huskier. "This is nice. I wasn't expecting it tonight."

"Neither was I." I searched for something to say, some sexy comment that would help her climax, but I had gone blank. Apparently that orgasm had wiped out some of my brain cells. "I don't know if I can talk like you did. But I still want to hear you come."

"You don't have to talk." Her voice broke. "Just listen."

I stayed quiet as her breathing grew heavy and she moaned occasionally, a sound of yearning so sensual my clit twitched all over again. I heard her own pleasure building and tensed in anticipation, desperate to hear her release.

"This feels so good," she murmured. From the way she clipped her words, I guessed she was very close. "I want you so badly it hurts."

All of a sudden I knew exactly what to say. "I'm in love with you, Perrie. I love you."

She cried out hoarsely. Holding my breath, I listened to her ride out what sounded like a shattering orgasm. The noises she made were almost spiritual in nature. I was afraid to speak, not wanting to break the spell.

When she finally fell silent, I whispered, "That was incredible."

"Yes, it was." I could hear strong emotion in her voice. "Thank you."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm great. Wonderful." She hesitated, then said, "You're in love with me?"

Why would she sound so uncertain? Though I hadn't said the words before, I had been wearing my emotions on my sleeve. Surely she wasn't surprised that I had verbalized the obvious. "Of course I am."

"That's a big deal," she said in a quiet voice. "I mean, those words are a very big deal for me."

"I know," I said. "It's a very big deal for me, as well."

"I'm in love with you, too."

"You don't have to say that." My heart swelled at the declaration. "I didn't tell you because I expected to hear it back. I was just feeling it, so I wanted you to know."

"But I do love you." Sniffing, she said, "I'm not sure I ever thought I'd say those words again, but God help me, I do."

"That's a good thing, right?" My stomach knotted at the sorrow I could hear in her voice. It made no sense. This should be a happy moment. "Why do you sound so sad?"
