Slash had taken me back to a hotel, where all of my items had been brought to me. Apparently the entire band was staying in this hotel as well, due to someone breaking into the bus and vandalising everything and everyone's belongings. My stuff had been taken out only hours before it apparently happened, that was what Slash had told me.

"Are you really gonna do this?" Slash questioned, sitting beside me on the edge of the bed. He was completely sober and hadn't had a drop of alcohol or anything since last night, he had also spent the night by my side, making sure I wouldn't do anything stupid. What would I do? The only stupid thing I did was my ex fiancé.

"I have to, I can't be here anymore. I can't fucking look at him." I took a shaky breath.

"W-Would you stay, for me?" He carefully asked, his voice breaking. I knew Slash was a complete mess, knowing that I had booked a flight out of here.

Turning my head to look at Slash, I watched as the tears poured out of his incredibly dark eyes. "I'm sorry Slash, right now, I can't stay for anyone or anything." I shook my head, feeling my own tears building back up.

"But Shelly, I'm in love with you." Slash admits softly.

I wished that was enough of a reason to stay, but I didn't feel the same for Slash. There was an attraction and I adored him to the ends of the earth, but I couldn't stay. Otherwise I really would do something stupid.

"I'm sorry, Slash." I sobbed.

Slash furrowed his eyebrows and quickly peeled his gaze away from me. Removing himself from the edge of the bed, Slash walked over to the two suitcases I owned nearby the door. "I'll take your bags down, so all you need to do is get in the cab." Slash softly cried, picking up the two bags and exiting the room.

Staring down at my hands, I focused on the ring on my right hand. The blue stone somehow shimmered in the light and the diamonds looked a little dull. I couldn't help but find myself thinking about what Duff had said to me weeks ago, especially when he was referring to the ring.

"I am really struggling to believe anything you say." I shook my head.

"I know babe. But here, look at this." Duff pointed to the very first ring he bought me. The one he bought for my birthday, just before we left for a holiday to Australia. "That ring says: Today-Tomorrow-Always: I love you, Duff. And it's true, I wouldn't have bought you that ring and got that engraved if I didn't mean it." He ran his thumb over the blue round gem in the ring

Running my thumb over the gem as Duff had, I couldn't hold back my silent crying. I was so hurt, I didn't think it was possible to ever feel okay again. This man had me deeply in love with him and he had put me through absolute hell, ripping out my heart as he had. Finding myself thinking of other memories we shared over the years, I couldn't help but mentally relive it all. It was like I was watching our relationship from the outside flash by at the speed of light.

"What do you think?" He questioned, taking the cigarette from my grasp.

"Honestly? I loved it!" I gave him a toothy smile. "That is coming from a huge fan, though."

"Really?" He chuckled.

"Of course I did." I stared into his eyes, wishing that somehow he would lean in like he did yesterday.

"That's good to hear." He scratched his chin, he suddenly looked a little nervous.

As the silence grew between each other, I noticed Duff looking at me, so I turned my full attention to him. At once, his eyes dropped to my lips and darted back up to my eyes. Feeling the butterflies form in the pit of my stomach, I noticed that he began to lean in closer, just as he had only yesterday. With my heart racing, I continued to sit there, waiting to see if this time, he would actually follow through and kiss me. Something I was hoping he would do.
