❖Anna❖

"How much can you remember from last night?" the guy with the sapphire blue eyes asks me.
"This guy was trying to..." I can't even finish the sentence without getting the feeling that I want to cry. I turn my head away so they can't see me getting emotional. I shouldn't show my weaknesses. One of the few things I actually did learn from my dad.
I can see the guy who was talking to me nod to the others and to the doors, even though it's a very small, all the other guys start walking out of the room.
Once the last one is out and closed the door. He walks towards me and lays a hand on my shoulder. "It's okay." He says softly. His hand is big and it feels warm, somehow it makes me feel safe.

Way to soon he takes his hand away and walks towards the couch. "Sit." He says and as in a trance I walk towards the couch and sit down.
"What's you're name?" he asks while sitting down on a chair across of me.
"I'm Anna." "Gabriel. But most call me Gabe." He says.
"Gabe," I say "could you tell me how I got here?" Gabe looks at me for a second, as if he's trying to see if I'm okay enough to hear it. "I found you." He then says.
"I was out for a walk last night, when I heard a scream. I went to look and found you pushed against a wall by some drunk basted."
A shiver passes my spine and I look up at Gabriel "Did he... did he..." I can't finish the sentence.
"NO!" he says strongly, making me jump a little. "I got that bastard off of you before it could get that far."
"Thank you." I whisper, looking down at my hands.
"You were unconscious" he continues his story, "so I took you back here, where I knew you would be safe." For a moment he looks as if he had said something wrong. "I mean, I couldn't leave you there."
I nod letting the in information sink in.
I almost got raped. Almost being the keyword here. That means that I didn't get any new 'scars'.

"Are you okay?" Gabriel asks after a moment of silence. "I will be. Thanks again for doing this for me." "No problem." He stands up and walks to the back of his chair.

"Why were you outside that late anyways?" he asks out of nowhere.
"I could ask you the same thing." I look up at him and see a small smile on his face. I believe that's the first smile I've ever seen from him.
"I was walking home from work." I say. "That's why I was outside. And honestly, it wasn't even that late. Normally I work longer."
While I'm saying that I can see his expression change. "You walk in the dark, alone, every time you go home from work? Please tell me you life in the same street as you work." He is starting to sound angry and I blink, not sure what to answer him since he I don't want to make him angrier.
"That's fucked up!" he says loudly and walks around.
"Why do you care anyway? You don't even know me." I say to him wondering why he got so mad out of nowhere.
He looks at me, anger showing in his eyes. He closes his eyes for a moment. When he opens them again, all emotions are gone.
You're right. I don't know you." He looks away from me and I can feel a spark of disappointment.
"Go get some sleep. You can stay in the room you where earlier. I will bring you back to you're home in the morning."
Without giving me space to answer, he walks out of the room and leaves me behind.

The next morning I find a new pair of sweatpants and a shirt waiting for me.
I get dressed, try to fix my hair and walk downstairs. Not completely knowing were toe go, I walk into the living room.

There is a guy sitting there. He looks younger then Gabriel, maybe around the age of 18.
"You're still here." He says a little surprised and walks towards me. Even though he might be younger, he's almost a head taller then me and he looks kind of intimidating.
"Uhm.... Yeah uhm... Gabriel said I could stay for the night. He would bring me home now." The guy laughs and lays a hand on m shoulder making me take a step back.
"Don't be afraid of me please. I don't really like it when nice people are afraid of me. And, you don't have to explain to me."
He takes a step back to give me some space and looks at me. "Gabe isn't here at the moment. Have you had any breakfast yet?"
I shake my head.
"Okay, then I'll make you something. Gabriel will probably be back once you are finished eating." He starts to walk towards what I think is the kitchen and I follow him.
All of the sudden he stands still, making me almost bump into him. "I'm Elliot btw. Completely forgot to introduce myself." He holds out his hand and sends me a goofy smile and I can't help but smile back. "Anna." I say, shaking his hand.
"Anne, this way to the food!" he says and skips towards the kitchen.
