Chapter 22: Secrets and Reality

Start from the beginning

"Did I do something wrong? Why are you acting this way towards me?"

"I don't know Jennie maybe because you had the chance to ask your brother for my freedom but completely wasted my only opportunity because you wanted to go outside" You lashed out. The girl in front of you was taken aback. She started at you with parted lips as you glared at her. "Ey~ you're still coming along though..."

You said nothing.

"I'm sorry I just got too excited in the moment and-"

"Yeah whatever Jennie, just leave you're going to be leaving in a few minutes. Go enjoy your wish" You looked at the girl before slowly laying back down onto the soft pillow.

The girl didn't say anything. She felt guilty, she really did. But a part of her didn't care. She was gong outside for the first time for what it seems like an eternity. She didn't want anything or anyone to spoil it for her.

Jennie stared at your saddened form before hopping off of the bed. She made her way towards the door without looking back.

-

"I don't know if I can do this" Namjoon zipped up his jacket as he stared at the front door.

"What is it like..?" The nervous girl asked as she stood next to her older brother with the same face expression. "y-you know...out there..."

They were both scared but for different reasons.

"Sometimes really cold. Sometimes really hot" Namjoon said as he through his hands to his side.

"Are you ready?" Namjoon asked his little sister.

"Yes, Are you ready?" The girl looked up at her brother's profile. He shook his head. "No"

Jennie's eyes squinted from the sudden sunlight that hit her eyes. It was a different feeling. To actually feel the heat of the sun without a window in between. Right when Namjoon was going to take his first step he felt a sudden grip on his hand. He smiled lightly when he saw his little sister's hand hold his.

He gave a quick assuring look.

Her legs felt weak as she began to walk towards the door.

The oxygen from the outside air sent a chill down her spine. The smell of freshly cut grass was so brand new it made her get goosebumps. The girl didn't know what to do. She was outside for the first time in five years.

Namjoon turned his head to see his sister's reaction. Her eyes were closed as the sun and the wind hit her face. She never looked more genuinely happy in his eyes. Sure he's afraid but the fact that he could see his baby sister's smile eased away every worry.

"Namjoon why are you staring at me?"

"Because you look so ugly. Why are you making that face?"

"tch"

Namjoon chuckled "Let's go"

-

"Wahh~ Look! Look at the birds!"The girl dragged Yoongi around as if he was a human rag doll. "What's so interesting about a damn bird-"

"OMG WHERE!" Taehyung happily ran towards the girl like a two years old. She pointed up to the sky with the group of birds that flew together in a triangular shape.

Taehyung pulled out his binoculars "Wahhh~ So cute" The boy cooed. "Let me see! Let me see!" Jennie yanked the binoculars from Taehyung's hand so roughly his entire head was yanked down to her height.

"Are you sure she just turned twenty one yesterday?" Yoongi said to Jungkook who smiled lightly. You stood next to theo two looking around the outside area. Jimin made you to wear a mouth mask because he didn't want anyone to recognize you.
