In Love With You

Chapter 75

How can I promise you forever when tomorrow is so far away from me?  How can I dry your tears when I have a bleeding heart inside of me?  How can I ever forget you when your name is etched so deep within me?

Alexa who turned in late preparing the pasta for David, was the only one asleep when David, James and Val arrived at Alexa’s place at six o’clock in the morning…  Val found Crissy busy preparing for the things they would be bringing for their trip…  Since they were just waiting for Sarah to arrive, David went to Alexa’s room to rouse her…  He found her sound asleep hugging the pillow with his shirt on and smiled…

David :  (Whispering to her as he cleared some tresses off her face…)  How I wish I am that pillow you are hugging right now…  (Alexa smiled…)  So you are awake…  Get up, sleepyhead…  I am bored…

Alexa :  Give me a hug first…  (When David hesitated…)  Didn’t you say you wish you were this pillow?

David hugged her so tight she could hardly breathe but she felt it was a nice way to wake up to…

David :  You have to get up now or they might think we’re doing something immoral…

Alexa :  (Seeing everybody, except for Sarah all in the living room, she wondered…)  Are we all ready to go?  Where is Sarah?

Crissy :  She’s on her way…  Alexa, are we going to use the new car?

Alexa :  I intend to, why?

Crissy :  (She seemed to have something to tell but she decided to save it till later…)  I was just thinking since Tita Jackie brought her car, Mr. Yin, Val and I will take her car while Sarah can ride with you and David sa Benz…  Are you sure you’re apt to drive?

Alexa :  Yes, I am…  (She was in high spirit…)

When Sarah arrived, Alexa was surprised to see her mother right behind her…  Sarah obviously was apprehensive to inform her but Elena barged in without waiting to be invited in…

Elena :  Hoy, Alexa…  Gusto kitang makausap…  [Hey Alexa…  I want to talk to you…]

Alexa :  Aunty, pwede bang sa ibang araw na?  May mga bisita ako eh… [Aunty, is it okay if we do it another day?  I have visitors…]

Elena :  Eh anong pakialam ko sa mga bisita mo?  Ang gusto kong malaman eh bakit ang konti ng perang natanggap ko ngayong buwan? [Why should I care about your visitors?  What I want to know is why I received less amount of money this month?]

Alexa :  Wala kayo sa bahay ninyo…  Sana, medyo hinaan ninyo yung boses ninyo…  Hindi naman kung sino lang ang mga bisita ko…  Pwede po bang sa garden na tayo mag-usap?  (Alexa led the way and Elena could not do anything but to follow…) [You are not in your house…  I wish you would lower down your voice…  My visitors are not ordinary people…  Can we talk out in the garden?]

Crissy immediately asked Sarah why she brought her mother at the time when she knew David would be there and Sarah hastily explained that she could not help it…

Sarah :  Nagpaalam kasi ako…  Sabi ko nga lang may pinagagawa sa akin si Ate Ally para makatulong sa assignment ko eh…  Kanina nung paalis na ako sabi na lang nya na sasama sya… [I just asked her permission…  I told her Ate Ally wants to help me with my assignment…  When I was about to leave, she said she wants to come with me…]

Crissy :  Did you tell her about the resthouse?

Sarah :  Hindi ah…  Ayokong magalit si Ate Ally sa akin… [I did not…  I don’t want Ate Ally to get upset with me…]
