"Hey, doll, look at this," Bucky grins as he held a plaque for you. As the store was mostly empty, no one saw how cute and excited he looked.
"'Dogs leave paw-prints on our hearts'," you read. "Please don't tell me you're going to buy that plaque."
Bucky looked at the plaque, smile turning into a frown.
"Why shouldn't I? It's cute."
"Well, for one we don't even have a dog," you shrugged.
"How about we change that?"
And that's how you got a dog. And a plaque.
