It had been so long. So, so long. And he couldn't wait any longer. Bucky disked your number and held the phone with trembling hands to his ear, taking deep breaths.
"Hello?"
"Doll," he breathed, relieved. "Please come home, I miss you."
You chuckled. "I had to wait in line for 10 minutes. I'm heading home," you said, then paused before saying, "They had your favorite." You meant chocolate donuts.
"I love you."
Bucky heard the smile on your voice. "I know."
He smiled, "Did you just quote Star Wars to me?"
"Maybe. Now open the door for me, I've got two full boxes of donuts."
"Yes, ma'am."
