Chapter 37 - Two For the Price of One

"Wake up sleepy head!" Marin threw a pillow at Paul who was sleeping, in bed.

"Why?"

"Its lunch time. You are impossible to wake up."

Paul mumbled and rolled over. Marin sighed and jumped on him. "Paul you expecting, this!" She began to tickle him.

"Marin! Stop!" Paul laughed.

Marin nodded and stopped. She sat down on the bed and smiled at her younger brother.

"Why do you have to be so mean?"

"Mean?" She gasped.

"Yes mean." Paul flung his covers off.

"Grumpy, huh? Well do back to sleep then!" She stood up and walked out.

Paul rolled his eyes and got dressed. 

"By the way, you and Ashley are heavy sleepers." Marin stuck her head back in then hurried away.

Paul ran after her. Then stopped at the stairs. George just came out of the other room, guitar in his hand.

"Wanna practice Paul?"

"Uh, sure." Paul shrugged. "But first let me eat."

"Okay."

Minutes later Paul was back upstairs playing with George.

"Whats John up to today?"

"He...um...got angry and...uh...kind of...walked out."

"Why? How'd he get angry?"

"I think he was just having one of his John moments....with mum..."

"Oh." Paul put a finger to his lips. "Where'd he go?"

George shrugged. "He walked outside. Im surprised you and Ash even slept threw it."

"That bad?" Paul looked worried.

George nodded. "Don't worry Paul, John's to old to run away."

"To old..." Paul mumbled the two words. "We aren't that old..."

"We are growing...we're close to living on our own."

"No, mum needs us."

"She needs someone, us too."

"Yeah. I hope she finds someone."

"For you its easy."

"Sh." Paul laughed.

"Well? Shall we continue or do you want to go look for John?"

"Wheres Rich?"

"You totally ignored my questions...but um...he's...uh...there." george pointed to the door way.

"Where were you?" Paul asked.

"Talking on the phone."

"To whom?"

"Mariah."

"Whats she up to?"

"Getting married! Soon!" Richie smiled.

"Thats wonderful!" George grinned. "When?"

"Um, a few days...next week?" Richie shrugged.

"Great! That would get the girls more excited." Paul chuckled.

"Yeah...well...it is out sister."

"And my brother is married already, so technically you all are already semi-uncles!" Paul winked.
