It was midnight. He laid, splayed, in his twin size, red covered, bed; all alone. The house was devoid of any noise and of any people; it was just him for the night.

His raven haired boyfriend was, currently, visiting his family for the holiday's. Gray had invited him, over, but he'd declined; saying, that he'll only be intruding in his family time. The raven had then left, hesitantly; but he had left, nonetheless.

Natsu sighted, sadly. Sometimes, he wished he had a family, too. The only "family", he had was his fosterfather, Igneel; who had past away two years ago. But before, the old man was still missing for the majority of his life.

The man was a busy worker, always working and working and working. Not once, was he ever, there for him. Natsu, was left behind, with a friend of his father's, Gildarts Clive.

But even HE was gone for the majority of it, too. His "father" was always out busy, working. While his "caretaker" Gildarts was always out busy, getting drunk or getting a one night stand with any woman.

Sometimes, the drunk, womanizer will even be having sex, while drunk, at their place. He heard it all. And by, some accidents, he even seem them. But the old man had, never, touched him. Never. And Natsu was at least, grateful, for that.

He sighted, again, as depression and loneliness, slowly, grew within him. It wasn't the first time, and it surely won't be the last time, that these depressing, thoughts overtook him.

His chest, tighten, when he remembered, when he was little. All of those cold and lonely, days and nights; where he'll be left home, alone, and with no one to take care of him, and to, even, be with him. Like now, he realized, depressingly.

He had, had to learn everything, by himself and grow up, fast. But it hurt.
He had never, once, told this to his boyfriend. He didn't want to worry the man. He could, take care, of himself.

He already had; for the majorly of his life, and that's something that'll, never change. And anyways, he had too; if he didn't, well, then he surely, wouldn't be here. Now. And that hurt.

Everything hurt. The loneliness. The depression. Not having a family. Not having a childhood. Not having anyone for him to love and be loved. But what hurt the most, was never knowing what a real loving and caring family, had felt like.

Yes, he had Gray with him. But... It just was recently, and it wasn't the same. Yes, he should be somewhat grateful since they're is others out there, who doesn't even have anyone.
But, he couldn't help but feel the deep loneliness and depression, grow; painfully more, with each second.

Before he knew it, Natsu suddenly, felt hot, thick tears, leaking down his tan and heartbroken face, rapidly.
Without any warning's, a loud sob, had unexpectedly, escaped him. After that, he was full out, crying.

He rose, his arms, towards his face; feeling pathetic for crying. And then, he rolled into a ball, in his right side; toward's the opposite side of the door. His legs, had rose, until they were pressed against his chest.

He couldn't stop the tears. He couldn't help it. He couldn't hide the way, he felt. It was, too much. It was all just, too much, to bare... Alone.

He never knew his birthparents. He didn't, even know, if they were both still alive or not.

His foster father, was always too busy; to be taking care of him.

While his caretaker, was always too busy; fucking or drinking, to even notice his very, existence.

'Why couldn't I just be noticed and loved!? Was it too much to ask for!?
I'm a good and loving, boyfriend and friend! So why!? Why!?' He thought, frantically and desperately.

A harsh sob struck him, and he was full out wailing; at this moment, in his once, quite house. The noise echoed. The quiet house, looked like a haunted house; where it had once stood, as a loving and peaceful home, now was an empty and dead house.

Like it was, abandoned. Like, him.
"Why!?.... Why can't I be loved!?" He unknowingly, wailed out. His tears, trailed down his face, greatly. It didn't look like he'll stop, anytime.

"But you ARE, loved..." A deep voice, was suddenly, said from behind him. But before, Natsu could turn around and see, who the hell the person is; who'd dared, to break in his house.

Natsu was unexpectedly, wrapped, around two, cold, strong arms. Two, familiar arms, he quickly, recognized.
"Gr.... Gray!" He wailed, surprised at his sudden appearance. He quickly, turned around and came face to face with the raven haired male.

But before, Natsu could even look into the ravens face; and vice versa, Natsu buried his teary face, against Gray's, chest.

He clutched onto the taller man's, shirt, desperately; clinging onto him, like his life depended on it. And Gray, didn't mind. Gray held onto his lover, tightly; letting him cry, until Natsu was dried of tears, and laid with him in his arms, bonelessly.

After, what seemed like many hours, Natsu had, finally stopped crying. But they, stayed in their position's.

"G-Gray!... I-I!..." He managed to chock out; his sentence was cut off. And he hiccuped, a small sob.

"Shush~. We'll talk, later. As for now; let's just, lay here. Quietly." Gray whispered, warmly and reassuringly. Natsu, didn't seemed to mind that, nice idea. And so, he cuddled onto Gray, with desperation and longing.

After, the emotional drain that he went through, Natsu unknowingly, fell asleep in Gray's protective, arms. He felt safe, welcomed, and... Loved; in those strong and caring arms. The last thing, he distantly heard, was his lover saying, "I'll always, love you."

He held onto those words, forever, and even into his dreams. He dreamt of happiness and.... Of home. His home, with Gray. Those three simple words that Gray, had said, had managed to make the negativeness and being abandoned, disappear.

This fact, was unaware to Gray. But that had, quickly left, when Gray saw the distressed and the ever growing darkness, within Natsu's face, disappear; revealing, an expression of happiness and peacefulness.

Two expressions; that was never, as strong, as now. And Gray, couldn't help but smile warmly down at the younger boy, in his strong hold. He'll never, ever, let Natsu feel unwanted or unloved. He'll cherish him, forever.

He soon fell to sleep, as well. And he couldn't help, but remember, how their conversation, from earlier, went. He remembered the pained face, when he'd told Natsu, that he was leaving to visit his family, for the holiday's.

Once he'd saw that expression, he quickly, offered Natsu to come. But, Natsu, had strangely denied. That instantly, confused Gray. But, when Natsu had said, that he'll only be intruding in his family time, Gray was about to retort, until he suddenly saw the deep longing in those green, orbs.

He knew, then and there, why Natsu had denied his offer. The shorter boy, had always been easy to figure out. Well, at least to Gray, that is. And Gray, couldn't be more thankful, for that. So when he had left the house, he didn't leave to visit his family. No.

But, he did make a call to his family; saying that he was busy celebrating it with his lover, Natsu; which he was going to. Gray had stayed outdoors; sightseeing, until it was long enough for Natsu, to be unaware of his presence.

When Gray had quietly, got home... Only to hear crying; his heart had instantly, shattered. When he'd got to their bedroom and saw Natsu's position, he silently, crawled into the bed with Natsu's back, facing him; Natsu being completely, unaware, of all of this; from his loud and desperate cries.

But, what he'd heard, next; shattered Gray, completely. He didn't, hesitate, to wrap his arms around his broken, lover. Then, after all of the crying into his chest, and the comfort, after; the rosette, finally, slept in his arms.

Gray, had drifted to a sleep, after; feeling grateful, that he didn't leave to visit his family. When, the one in his arms, was the one who'd, really, needed one. Gray'll, always be there for Natsu.
