Annalise's P.O.V.

Math ended just great. Spectacular. Nothing like a packet of problems to solve on top of my life due Friday. Mr. Adams' is just... well he needs to wake up to reality that not everyone is just taking his class solely. Actually, no one is. I know that, they know that, but apparently he doesn't.

Chase had finally dropped the... 'question'. But as I packed up Chase still wouldn't give my phone back. Jerk.

I went to the girls' gym locker room to change for Physical Embarrassment.

Woohoo.

After I had changed I entered the gym. Kristi and her two barbies were already glaring at me whispering among themselves, their eyes filled clearly with hate.

We decided to play some basketball, which I'm pretty good at. Kristi and her entourage were on the other team with some other populars I guess. I turned to our group. We had two basketball players, the others were the volleyball non snob ones. They'd be able to pass over everyone and play d and offensive, while the three of us who could ball handle would score the points and steal the ball.

On my team it was Jessica and Amber, who were the basketball players, then Faith, Emory, Grace, Jackie, Heather, and Macy were the volleyball players.

After a minute of explaining my strategy, we broke up. I was confident as Jessica went up to face the opposing team to tip the ball.

It was thrown and Jessica tipped the ball our way just barely out of the reach of the other team.

We immediately went into the ball game. Jessica, Heather, Emory, Jackie and I went in first. We scored four points before we had to switch out. One was an amazing assist from Heather to me. The other was Jackie shooting and getting it in. Jessica stayed in and Grace, Faith, Macy, and Amber went up.

Kristi's team scored their first point because one of their players shoved Grace when she was passing to Amber, letting  Kristi steal the ball to score their first basket. The coach didn't see the shove but I did. They did another dirty play to Macy and they kicked her really hard in the shin. Like what the heck, coach referee already! Total foul! But since Kristi's players had blocked his view no one saw. This made my blood boil. Fine, if they wanna play dirty, we're taking it up a notch.

Jessica called a time out and Heather went in.

At a minute halftime we had 8 points and Kristi's team had 14 points, not rightfully theirs of course.

With a quick tip or two for the others on how to defense a little better and pass, I gave them my quick game plan.

"They want to play dirty, let them play dirty. We just have to up our game, you and Amber are both in do some tricks to maneuver around them, and quick passes are essential, we don't want everyone to get shoved and kicked in the shins like Grace and Macy. We have to make every shot count." Jessica agreed with Amber in approval of the plan.

"I am not throwing away my shot." Jessica started.

"I am not throwing away my shot." Amber continued.

Then they sang together the very familiar line,"And yo I'm just like my country, young, scrawny and hungry and I am not throwing away my-"

"Okay Hamilton and Lawrence," I interrupted,"if you're done rapping now we got a game afoot."

"Whatever you say Sherlock." Amber joked winking at me and high-fived Jessica. Even though Amber was as pale as the moon and Jessica looked like a cup of coffee with no creamer or sugar, they seemed to be best friends. Their friendship reminds me of Kate. But now is not the time to remanence.
