Chapter 19: Special Power

A/n: Sorry guys for not being able to update this past few weeks. I'm currently revising the The Lumen Princess so I was quite busy. I'm actually changing some few lines or scenes and turning it into a third person point of view so I have a lot of work to do. But anyway, here's Chapter 19 :)

"This long lasting life, it's actually a reward but at the same time, a punishment," seryosong sabi ni Phoenix nang tumigil ito sa pagtawa.

"When Sabria went to the Mortal World with Diel, I admit, umasa ako na nagkamali ako. Na baka hindi si Diel kundi ako ang mahal niya. Na baka ako ang naguguluhan at hindi siya. Na nilamon lang ako ng selos kaya nasabi ko ang mga bagay na iyon sa kanya. Pero sino bang niloko ko noon kundi ang sarili ko?"

Tinignan siya nito sa mga mata.

"Buong buhay ko, tanging si Sabria lamang ang naging kaibigan ko. Maliban sa mga magulang ko, siya lamang ang tanging taong nakausap ko. Ang she was the one who taught me how to love and how to be loved. But then, her love for me is different for the love she had to Diel. At kahit masakit, natanggap ko iyon."

Mabilis niyang pinunasan ang luhang pumatak dahil ayaw niyang makita ni Phoenix iyon.

"I was never miserable because I learned to accept that fact. I didn't even care even if everyone around me is getting older but I was devastated when the first girl I loved died. I was devastated when Master Jed died, Princess Shanel and Kyle died. I saw everyone's death and that was the punishment of my life. And then I met Leila, my reward. Naisip ko nga noon na baka bumabawi si Sab sa akin kaya pinagtagpo niya kami ni Leila e. Leila and I loved each other with everything we have but sadly, we're not meant for each other."

Muli siyang tinignan ni Phoenix sa mga mata.

"So if you asked me if I never wished for my death, after the heartaches I've gone through, I did. I did wish for it so many times especially when everyone around me is dying."

Hindi niya napigilan ang sarili at bigla na lamang niya itong niyakap. Niyakap niya ito ng mahigpit at hinayaan ang sarili na umiyak sa balikat nito. She's not crying dahil naaawa siya rito. She's crying because she can feel his heartaches. And while she's crying on his shoulder ay napatigil siya nang parang isang agos ng tubig sa ilog ay nakita niya ang mga alaala ni Phoenix sa nakalipas na ilang libong taon.

"Tyler?"

When Master Jed died in Phoenix' arms. When Shanel and Kyle died on their sleep and when he can no longer get hold of Sab from the other world because she's gone. She saw how he tried to be okay and make friends but those friends he made also died and she also saw how afraid he was to get atouched with someone else again.

She saw how he met Leila. She even felt the fear in his heart when he was starting to get atouch to her. She felt the way they loved each other. She saw and felt the pain he felt when Leila left him and when he left her.

"Tyler!"

Noon lamang siya nabalik sa reyalidad. Nakatitig lamang siya sa mga ni Phoenix. Mga matang nababalot ng maskara at tinatago kung ano talaga ang nararamdaman nito.

"You spaced out," sabi nito sa kanya.

Gusto niyang sabihin dito na nakita niya ang buhay nito sa nakalipas na ilang libong taon. Gusto niyang itanong dito kung paano nangyari iyon pero pinili na lamang niyang manahimik. Sapat na sa kanya na nagkwento si Phoenix sa kanya. Hindi na nito kailangan pang malaman na nakita niya ang bawat detalye sa kwento nito.

"Ridge, anong special power mo?" tanong niya kay Ridge ng nasa isang garden sila ng Glacies Kingdom. Hiniling niya kay Phoenix na bukas na lamang nila simulan ang pag-eensayo.
