Cassandra's POV

"Later, Mom." I briefly said through the intercom.

Mom is asking me to have dinner with her dahil wala si Daddy. He is out of the country for three nights already. And I don't know when he will come home.

I shift my attention to the notebook I'm holding as I let out a deep sigh. Mamaya ko na lang siguro tatapusin yung ginagawa ko.

Before I left the room, I gazed on my cellphone hoping that it'll ring a notification. But still, nothing was there. Padabog akong lumabas ng kwarto ko. Damn him.

Tss. Nakakainis ka talagang Bryan ka.

After we had dinner, I went back in doing my homework. Hindi naman mahiral dahil para sa summer class lang naman ito. I took a few advance classes.

Yes, I'm aesthetically beautiful but I still have the brains.

I was startled when my phone buzzed. Sinilip ko ang screen... and there he was. Bryan.

I rolled my eyes at the sight of his photo on my screen. He's requesting for a video chat.

Walang gana kong in-accept ang request nya. I just put my phone on its mini-chair stand at itinapat ko ito sa mukha ko habang gumagawa ako ng homework. I showed no interest in him.

"Why?" Masungit na bungad ko sa kanya.

He frowned upon seeing me. "Hey, my princess. Bakit ang sungit mo?"

Binitawan ko ang hawak kong ballpen and gave him a death glare. "Would you think na matutuwa ako? Bakit ngayon ka lang nagparamdam?"

I heard a soft chuckle from him. "Princess, we talked just this morning."

"B-basta! Siguro may ibang babae ka dyan no? Madaming maganda dyan diba? And I guess you're having fun flirting around."

Again, he chuckled. "Princess, I don't intend to flirt around while I'm here. I will be back once I finished the draft my father told me to do."

Hindi ako sumagot. Basta! Nagtatampo ako sa kanya! Ilang linggo na syang nasa Japan. Ang sabi niya ay dalawang linggo lang, pero halos two months na sya doon!

He sighed when he heard no answer from me. "Cassie, I'm here for our future. I made a promise to you, right? I will build my own fortune just to prove both of our families that I'm worthy enough to be your future husband by providing everything you need. Alam mo naman na ayaw ko umasa sa mga magulang ko even if we have everything."

I looked at him. "Kailan ka uuwi?" I asked with longingness.

"I'm gonna be back sooner, princess. I promise..."

Why does he have to be seven years older than me? :(
