Stephanie looks at herself in the mirror and swallows slightly. "You're sure I look fine?" She asks Natasha.
"You look great," Nat smiles.
Stephanie follows Nat to her car and gets a ride to the restaurant.
"Good luck," Nat smiles.
Stephanie gets out and goes into the restaurant. She sits down at the reserved table and waits.
Stephanie looks up when she sees a pretty brunette at the door, she was talking with the lady at the front. The lady moves out from behind the counter and leads her towards Stephanie's table.
"Here's your table miss," the staff member smiles.
"Thank you," the brunette smiles back. She feels for the chair and takes her seat. "Hi, I'm Becky."
"I'm Stephanie. You're Natasha's friend?"
"Yes, Nat and I went to college together," she smiles.
"Cool, she's my roommate," Stephanie says. It technically wasn't a lie.
"You're Captain America yeah?" Becky asks.
Stephanie freezes. "Uh y- yeah."
Becky laughs a little. "It's okay. Nat told me."
"Oh. So uhm.. What do you do for a living?" Stephanie asks awkwardly.
"I do small jobs for Nat, usually house keeping or feeding her cat, I do the same for my roommates," she explains.
"Ni-" Stephanie begins but is startled by something nudging her leg. She looks down to see a very cute service dog. "What's your dogs name?"
"Miko, she's really good, you can pet her if you'd like," Becky explains.
"She's very pretty," Stephanie smiles.
"I bet she is," Becky answers and Stephanie cringes.
"So how did you..." Stephanie begins awkwardly.
"Become blind?" Becky finishes. "I was born blind."
"Oh," Stephanie says.
Despite the awkwardness their date goes quite well.
~12 years later~
Becky smiles as she runs her hands over Stephanie's features.
"You're so beautiful," Stephanie smiles.
"I'll take your word," Becky grins.
"I love you so much."
"I love you too."
Miko jumps up onto their laps and licks their faces.
"We love you too Miko."
