Bucky pushes Steve out the door seconds before a support beam falls on him. He cries out and Steve looks at his his eyes wide.
"I love you Stevie," Bucky wheezes. "I'll see you in the next life."
Clint pulls Steve away from the building as Thor and Vision run forward to try and rescue Bucky. Burning debris collapses in the way of the entrance leaving them no choice but to head back to the group of ambulances and firetrucks. The fire spreads and Bucky howls in agony as the it slowly finishes him off.

"Bucky Barnes was a gift to us and one of the best things that could've happened to the NYFD. He was always quick to help someone in need and he was always someone you could count on. James Barnes was the best of us and it's a shame he died so young. Let's hope that wherever he is now that he's surrounded by those he loves, and who love him."
