“How can we help you then?” asked the supervisor.
“We want to know all of the Do-Rights in Tennessee,” asked Arianne.
“In a minute?!!” queried an exasperated Mr. Sixsmith.
“5?” said Arianne.
“Tennessee is a state,” said Mr. Sixsmith.
“So is my front room,” quipped Trelainne.
“There are 95 counties in the state, 230 towns and 121 cities.”
“10 minutes?” revised Arianne.
“2 hours more like,” said the supervisor, “can’t you come back tomorrow?”
“It may be a matter of life and death,” said Trelainne.
“Really?”
“Yes, a woman might be killed by the mob if we don’t find her first.”
“I don’t like the mob,” said the man, “they made me lose my first job.”
“What was that?” inquired Arianne.
“As a deer stalker in a men’s outfitters.” He picked three telephone books off the shelves and each of them started to look through one.
