CHAPTER 3

After much wrangling Sid and Arthur were released. Then all of them, including those who had arrived in the red minibus, went back to the office to have a meeting.

"Can you put the kettle on Miss Orange," Arthur asked his secretary. He then made sure everyone was seated. "Now then we have a murder to solve and only another ten chapters to do it in. We need a plan of action. I think we should split up into twos and check out the different places White-not-Black visited before he was murdered at the Cellar Club."

"But there's only nine of us?" noticed Sid. "Nine don't divide by two."

"Let us see then. We can have me and Sid, Biggs and Alf, Lee and With, Arianne and Trelainne, leaving Fawh who can tag along with us."

"How come you get all of the funniest characters with you?" irked Biggs.

"Does it really matter?"

"By saying that you are saying that you, Sid and Fawh are the funniest?"

"That is quite a compliment really, saying that I am one of the funniest characters. Thank you Biggs."

Biggs huffed a little and folded his arms in protest.

"Now to decide who goes where," decided Arthur. "Sid Fawh and I will go to the Stud-E ranch. Biggs and Alf can go to the Central Library, Lee and With can go to the Lizard Lounge and the girls can go to the Hell's Kitchen."

"Can't we go somewhere where we can get a cup of coffee and a bit of shopping?" whined Arianne.
