Arthur had tripped over the dead body of Mr. White-not-Black.

“Great,” grumbled Arthur, “I have blood on my second best detective outfit now.”

The body of Mr. White-not-Black was laying face down in a pool of blood with a knife in his back.

“Well at least we know what the murder weapon was,” said Sid, “a dagger.”

“Actually it looks more like a kitchen knife,” thought Arthur, “and this is not a game of Clue(do). We do not eliminate suspects, weapons then rooms to find whodunit.”

“I thought whodunit had two n’s?” thought the Author quietly to himself as they gabbled.

As they were speaking a police sergeant and two officers walked down the stairs. “Well lookie here,” said the Sergeant, “a homicide in progress.”

“In delicto flagrante so to speak,” said Sid as he looked at Arthur trying to wipe his hands.

“In delectable what?” asked the Sergeant.

“In blazing offence,” explained Arthur, "meaning caught in the act. You do not think we had anything to do with this Sergeant, do you?”

“The two of you, you with blood on your hands,” he looked at Arthur, “in your second best detective outfit and a dead body with a kitchen knife sticking out of its back. I think you did it. Take them away Bob,” he said to Officer Bob.
