As Fawh was coming back with two steaming cups of coffee he saw Dick.

“Hi Sarge,” said Officer Dick.

“Hi Officer.”

“I thought you’d still be at the Cellar getting our money?”

“Did we drop it?”

“No,” he whispered slightly, “our kickback from Boozy the owner.”

“Oh, I didn’t see Boozy. We’ll have to get it later.”

Officer Dick tapped his hat in a mini salute as he walked away winking.

Fawh related what he had heard to Sid and Arthur, “You never guess what I just heard.”

“No what?” inquired Arthur.

“The police were going to get a kickback from the owner of the Cellar. That’s why they caught you red handed.”

“The red hands were because I had fallen over his torso onto his blood.”

“I think that joke’s too gory,” said Sid.

“At least we know the police are corrupt.”

“But how far up does it go, precinct level, divisional level, city wide?” wondered Sid.

Arthur spoke to Fawh, “When you get back from telling Arianne and the others where we are you can have a snoop around the precinct Fawh. But do it as somebody less conspicuous.”

“Do you mean not as noticeable?”

“Yes.”

“Who could I be?”

“A janitor,” suggested Sid.

“The one off Scrubs?”

“Don’t be stupid,” grumbled Sid, “be the janitor from the police station.”

“I don’t know what he looks like.”

“There’s a picture behind you,” pointed Sid. The picture was of the janitor as an employee of the month.

“Fawh looked at it,” Ok.”
