18- Party There Never Was?

It was a really pack house. I couldn't believe that she knew this much people. The music was loud. She really takes parties to another level.

"My lovelies, make yourselves comfortable", Erithea smirked.
Alyssa grabbed a drink.
"Isn't that alcoholic?" I asked.
"Yes prude. It is", Britney said as she handed out more drinks.
"Thalie , don't forget that we have a mission", Killua insisted.

I don't know who he thinks he is like is the boss of me. I can do what I want; when I want.

I took a couple of drinks. The music started getting louder or at least sounds louder. I couldn't help but feel a tingling sensation in hips that wanted to dance. I have to answer my desires but Killua said I should have control.

"Lie, let's dance please", May begged.
"C'mon Lie don't be a drag", Alyssa cried.
Wow Alyssa called me 'Lie' this doesn't sound right.

"Pretty please ", Hime added.

Well to hell with Killua. A girl has got to party and live life to the fullest. As I joined the girls in the centre I saw a large frown on Killua's face. Poor boy, I am willing to dance with him if only he asked.

"This party is awesome", Alyssa yelled in her half buttoned shirt.
May was dancing on the tables, screaming and scattering her hairdo. Britney was dancing with strangers. Hime was laughing hysterically. I wasn't so normal myself. I couldn't understand why Killua would miss out of this fun. Let me help him see the light.

"What's wrong you're not drinking", I slurped.
"Lie. Wake up and see", he replied.
"No, you need to open your eyes", I said as I pushed a kiss upon his lips.
As I removed my lips. He pulled me back for a deeper kiss. I could feel his hands moving on my back and trying to get lower. My skin tingled as his hands reached my hip. I was about to reach for his neck when he refrained himself from any more kisses.

"Thalie you are under an enchantment or whatever vamps call it", he said.
"So my kiss felt like I was possessed", I groaned.
"No. None of this is real. No drinks, no people, no music just us in a dark room", he replied.
"If the kiss didn't feel real. Why did you stop?" I cried.
"Not the point. The kiss was to distract Erithea, so I could tell you the truth", he added.
"Hurtful", I said walking away.
"No. I didn't mean it like that. I like the ki. ... Forget it", he shot as he pierced a dagger through my skin.

The pain was excruciating. I wanted to yell but couldn't find my voice. As I grabbed the bleeding hand. I realised I couldn't hear the music again. Still in pain, I peeked through my eyelids and saw he was right. We were the only people in the dark room. I feel beguiled. Killua is probably laughing at me. It was really just us and Erithea. She was looking from a higher ground; the amount of focus I saw in her eyes tipped me off that she was the illusionist. I mean I've heard about people with dual abilities. But the amount of mind control here is just impressive.

"Thalie stop staring. We don't want her to know that we know. We are at advantage here. Plus we have to do something about your bleeding and the others", Killua whispered with a sultry voice.
"Can't she hear us or smell my blood? " I asked nervously.
"You must have noticed that her illusions over this much minds must take a toll on her. She loses the abilities of her other senses except sight", he explained.
"Is that why your family never came for her parties? " I smirked.
"Cute. You think this is the only funny business she is involved with ", he laughed softly.
"She isn't all that bad. Well, she did save us from Tal hasa", I defended.
"We are still in Tal hasa. Just a more comfortable location. That is why illusion are easier here", he deduced.

He knows his history well. He has this all figured out. I might as well stick to him. He has proven to be very important in this experience or whatever I will call it.

"We should release Alyssa first. We will probably need a vampire for this ", he said.
"I can't believe I am about to say this. But only Alyssa we can release. Illusions should be a two way street; the more people we release the less control she has", I whined.
"Yes and her other senses would kick in", he added.

As we danced our way to Alyssa. I saw her wink at him. I wonder why she is so annoying. When we came closer she gripped Killua and pulled for a kiss. But strangely whispered something in his ear. I saw a smile creep on Killua's face. I couldn't help but wonder. I hate when she does this.

"So Kiki when do we kill Erithea and release the other ", Alyssa sneered.
"Oh so you have control. I am guessing Erithea knows by now that must of us are free", I hissed.
"Ding ding; someone has got one ring. Excuse me, I know my rhyming is stupid compared to that of a witch", Erithea mocked.
"You guys noticed too", Hime laughed.
"Enough chitchat, I let you people play it out. Allowing you to enter into my box", Erithea said pointing around to signal where we were.
In a box.
"Why are we in a box? Mind filling us on your grand plan?" I questioned.
"Thanks for the reminder Witch. You see long ago I was promised a certain necklace. It was my trap to 'The book'. Sadly the person did bring the necklace but it is in the Pylaric box. Find the necklace and I will release you all", she smiled.
"How are we sure that you will keep your words?" Killua snapped.
"Hmm. You still don't trust me, Icy", she pouted.
"I just want a form of assurance", he faked a smize.
"Well my word is as good as it gets", she shot back. "By the way the necklace is oval has a silver back and a red jewel embedded in the centre. Plus be careful the necklace is not just a pretty jewel", she smirked.

As she closed the box there was a loud sneer she gave out.

- The Pylaric Box-
It was really dark. I hate having to cast fire spells or elemental spells really. They usually take a toll on me. If I were to cast a spell I would need to rest a bit. Well as the leader I can't leave them in the dark struggling to walk straight.
"In all I really desire; I need a torch of fire ", I spelled.
"Thank you Lie. We were about to fall", Britney said.
"Speak for yourself as a lightning dragon slayer. Darkness is not a problem ", Hime bragged.

No wonder she gets along with Alyssa.

"May can smell anything? " Alyssa smiled.
"Yes, but I can't tell what it is", May replied.
"More like can't comprehend", Alyssa snickered.
"I doubt this is the time or place for you little snide comments ", Killua insisted.
"Let's get going to find the necklace ", I stated.
"No need. More like it found us ", Britney pointed at a bright red gem.
"Should we be scared?" Hime whisper. "Necklaces don't just pop out of thin air ", she added.
"No, just careful", I replied.
