"Challenge." Mr. Schue grinned  as he wrote the word on the whiteboard, "This week's assignment is to challenge yourself and sing a song you wouldn't normally sing."

Blaine groaned from the back corner.

"And," Mr. Schue added, "You have to serenade someone while singing your challenging song."

Blaine smirked. Now he could serenade Kurt

-_-_-_-_-

"So, what song is everyone going to sing?" Rachel smiled as she glanced around the New Direction's lunch table.

"I'm gonna sing Bad Enough For You by All Time Low." Kurt shrugged.

"And who are you going to sing that to?" Rachel tilted her head.

"I can't tell you that."

"Why?"

"Because it's a surprise."

"I don't think I've ever heard that song." Mercedes frowned.

"It's amazing." Kurt grinned, "But it's not something I'd normally sing so I'm really excited to have the chance."

-_-_-_-_-

"Blaine, you said you wanted to perform your song now?" Mr. Schue smiled.

"Yeah."

Blaine hopped off of his chair and grabbed a guitar from the band.

Hey there it's good to see you again,
It never felt right calling this "just friends".
I'm happy, if you're happy, with yourself.

Blaine concentrated on getting his fingers in the correct places on the guitar. Why was he so nervous all of a sudden?

Take off your shirt, your shoes,
those skinny jeans I bought for you.
We're diving in, there's nothing left to lose.

Blaine mustered up all of the courage he could and looked up.

I'm gonna break down these walls, I built around myself.
I wanna fall so in love, with you, and no one else,
Could ever mean half as much, to me as you do now.
Together we'll move on, just don't turn around,
Let the walls break down.

Blaine grinned as he finally met Kurt's eyes.

I used to wear you like a ball and chain,
I'd run and hide at the call of my name.
It was obvious you were too much for me.
Oblivious, I was young and horny.

Blaine winked at the countertenor causing him to blush.

In retrospect, I wouldn't do it again.
Stop talking shit to every one of your friends
I'm not the same boy you knew back then...

Blaine tried to keep his voice from wavering. That line always got him. He'd changed so much since he lost Kurt.

'Cause I can break down these walls, I built around myself.
I wanna fall so in love, with you, and no one else,
Could ever mean half as much, to me as you do now.
Together we'll move on, just don't turn around,
Let the walls break

Blaine shook his head in disbelief. This song fit his situation and his feelings completely.

I can't breathe, my body's shaking.
You've got a way with the way you take me,
'Cause you break me down,
You know you break me down...

I'm gonna break down these walls,  I built around myself.
I wanna fall so in love, with you, and no one else,
Could ever mean half as much, to me as you do now.
Together we'll move on, just don't turn around,
Let the walls break down.

Blaine strummed quietly on his guitar as he belted out the last verse.

Break down these walls, I built around myself.
Let the walls break down.
'Cause you break me down,
Let the walls break down.

The choir room was silent for a brief moment before it erupted into applause.

"That was a great performance, Blaine!" Mr. Schue smiled, "But isn't that the style of song that you normally sing?"

"The style, yeah." Blaine nodded awkwardly, "But I don't normally sing any songs that show my feelings."

"Oh. Well, I applaud you for that."

Chandler glared at the hazel eyed boy. Blaine better stay away from Kurt. Kurt was his.

Sorry it's so short but I'm going away for a week so I just want to try and update all of my fics before I leave.

The song used was Walls by All Time Low.Ngl,  I think I've become obsessed with All Time Low
