"Did you come here to apologize?" Puck asked, everyone starring at Blaine at the center of the auditorium stage.

"No, I came here to prove a point." Blaine sighed.

"Shut up Puckerman." Santana hissed.

"What did you come here to prove?" Artie asked.

"That hell yes it'd be amazing to win Regionals." Blaine said.

"Then you'll do the number?" Finn asked.

"No." Blaine said. "But I will suggest something different."

"Like what?" Quinn asked.

"It's something that will make us the same but different at the same time." Blaine shrugged.

"Okay Blaine, explain to us what this is." Mr. Shue said.

"Gladly." Blaine smiled.

Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain

I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days

Blaine started off with Harry's part because he was lead vocalist and his voice fit perfectly.

She told me in the morning she don't feel the same about us in her bones

It seems to me that when I die these words will be written on my stone

Finn suddenly started singing the next verse and it sounded great. It was so emotional and raw. That's what Blaine was going for.

And I'll be gone gone tonight

The ground beneath my feet is open wide

The way that I been holdin' on too tight

With nothing in between

Puck's voice arose from the group and the New Directions harmonized in the background and it sounded beautiful and haunting at the same time.

The story of my life I take her home

I drive all night to keep her warm and time

Is frozen (the story of, the story of)

The story of my life I give her hope

I spend her love until she's broke inside

The story of my life (the story of, the story of)

The whole group started singing and the vocals sounded perfect. They could really win this thing. Of course Blaine was right. They needed to be different and raw and deep.

Written on these walls are the colors that I can't change

Leave my heart open but it stays right here in its cage

Since before, Sam took Niall's part because they all thought their voices ranged the same. He sounded great.

I know that in the morning

I'll see us in the light upon your ear

Although I am broken, my heart is untamed still
