Few days after Graduation, Hermione received job offers from the Ministry of Magic and Gringotts. But, Hermione's parents told her to take a post-graduate course in the Muggle Institution so that she could also work in Muggle world afterwards. Hermione's relatives were all Muggles. They all knew that Hermione was studying abroad which her parents told them. If she also had work in the Muggle world, her relatives wouldn't wonder if she really study abroad.
Hermione understood what her parents wanted her to do. She enrolled in the Muggle Institution for a short-term course. Hermione was a natural genius, she had no problem with the Muggles curriculum, she made a self study on it.
After she finished her post-graduate course in the Muggle Institution, she grabbed the offer to work at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, because she want to pursue the S.P.E.W, to further the cause for the better treatment of house-elves. Some people in wizarding world did not understand Hermione, they thought that Hermione was a fool to pursue the S.P.E.W to become a law. But, Hermione was so determined, she did her best, until the Minister of Magic and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement agree with her. Later on, she was promoted in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
After seven years, Hermione had two jobs. She worked at the Ministry of Magic, and in the Muggles government, where she work as one of the Muggle Prime Ministry's secretary. She only had to report to the Muggle Prime Ministry if he needed her. Most of the time, he asked Hermione for advise.
Hermione was in her office at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, revising paper works, when she heard someone knocking on the door.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in,"she answered. The door slowly opened. She saw her best friend, Harry, smiling widely at her.
"Yes, Harry. What is it?"she asked. Harry walked towards her table, and sat in the vacant chair in front.
"Are you busy, Hermione, aren't you?"
"Why?"Hermione said, looking at Harry. She felt something.
"Uhmm.. Because.."
"Spit it out, Harry,"Hermione said as she leaned her back to the chair and folded her arms in front. "What do you want to say?"
"Uhmm.. Hermione.. You are my girl best friend. And I know you are best in everything-"Harry glanced to Hermione and sighed,"Will you help me to find a nice ring for Ginny?"
Hermione's eyes widened and said,"Are you going to ask Ginny to marry you?"
"Yeah,"Harry said, shyly.
"Are you serious, Harry?"she asked happily.
"Yeah. I think it's the right time to ask Ginny to marry me, what do you think?"
"Of course, you're already in the right age. And you already had a stable job. Oh.. I'm so happy for both of you, Harry."
"Thanks, Hermione. You're going to be the bridesmaid."
"Don't say that yet, Ginny isn't saying she'll marry you,"Hermione said, laughing.
"Yeah, right,"Harry said.
"When is your plan to ask her?"
"This Sunday. Ginny will be at the Burrow that time."
"That's great. I'm so excited,"Hermione said. "When do you want to buy a ring then?"
"This afternoon, if you aren't busy."
"I'm not busy. We can buy now. Let's go to the Muggle Mall and look for a nice ring in there, "Hermione said as she stood up.
