He's not romantic. He's not a gentleman. He's cold and he's stuck-up. And yet, Kenna seems to bring out a side of him that sparks his curiosity as well as his protectiveness. I think this quote (when read with the rest of the chapter) shows something instinctual inside of him --something that makes him second think his very nature. It was one of the first things I wrote when I started the book. It's really what gave life to Viridian in my eyes.
