Promise (Reader X Hubby!Vash the Stampede from Trigun)

Hey guys again! So sorry writers block has been tough but I know now that I can get back into this. No more korean dramas for me and more writing. I am glad this finally came together and hope you guys love it as much as I do! I guess the title is not just for the story but my promise to all of you. Which I think is very ironic. I lay in a bed wondering when he will return. It has only been an hour since he left to go into town but it still worries me. We have been traveling around, laying low for awhile while Vash tries to fight less. But you know Vash always getting himself into some crazy brawls he can't get out of.

I smile. Well at least he knows what he is doing even though he is such a silly head. Couldn't kill a bug even. That's just the type of guy he is. It's how he found me though.

-10 years ago in a random hotel-

"Eek! Theres a bug kill it! kill it, mister!" He smiles at me comically. "No can do little lady. You see I don't kill. Heh heh heh." He says while cleaning his gun. "You got a gun, yet you won't use it." I sigh. "Your hopeless and please don't call me little lady cuz I'm short." I say all of this tired, i hate being called little lady but seriously right now, I am just to tired to deal with life right now.

Vash goes over to the bug picks it up and sets it outside. "There you go little buddy. See no killing needed and even mister bug here is a still happy fellow." I stare at him like he must be crazy but I can't help laughing at how he shows no restraint. "Silly head." I say out loud.

"Do you say that because of my actions or my hair? Because I wouldn't argue if you meant them both." I giggle. "No, your just a silly head with a pointy head." I notice he gets nervous because he looks up silly like staring at the ceiling.
"Anyways what is your name stranger?" I smile brightly at up at him. "That's for you to find out later." He winks at me.
*flashback end*
And ever since we have been together. Such a charming man he is. I almost want wish he wasn't real because he is just to good to be true. But he is my husband and I know his true heart. As no one else could. That is something special. Haha this makes me think of the time I tricked him.

*Flashback*
"Okay Vash I am ready for you!" I was planning a surprise for his birthday. But I wanted to put in suspense so I made him wait outside the door for awhile. when he comes in I hand him some donuts I made homemade, but that is not the surprise. "And here!" I hand him a jar of peanuts.

He tries opening it and when it opens there are not peanuts but the trick peanut jars you get in the store. So when it opens it surprises him and the falls over dramatically. "Why are you so mean (name)-chan?" I giggle seeing his pouting face.

But then his pout turns into a soft smile that makes me want to wrap my arms around him and stay there forever. He grabs me and puts a donut in my mouth. I look at him with a surprised look as he forcefully makes me eat the donut, but I don't object just because how silly he is doing this. "Payback!" He says.
