Chapter 36: Meet The Family

"What?" Draco says in disbelief. He runs his hand through his hair and looks down at the floor.

"well you did," I say. 

"What do you mean?" He says looking up at me.

"I miss carried. We think it was probably your aunt" I say

"We?" Draco says

"Just me and Hermione and Ron's mom," I say

"They know!" Draco says in a panic

"Well, it's a little hard to keep it a secret when they're holding my hair when I got morning sickness," I say

"You miss carried?" he asks sitting against the wall

"I didn't even know I was pregnant," I say sitting beside him.

"No one else can know," He says

"I agree," I say " I won't even tell my family"

"I'm so sorry Elena," Draco says

"Don't be, it's not your fault" I say

I hear the lock turn in the large door and it opens. Lucius and Narcissa walk in.

"Oh," Narcissa says noticing us.

Draco shoots up and his parents walk up to him. I slowly get up not really knowing what to do.

"Who's this Draco?" Narcissa asks looking at me.

I hide behind Draco and wait for him to do something, but he just turns and looks at me.

"Hi, I'm Elena," I said reaching my hand out

Narcissa shakes my hand and smiles at me.

"Nice to meet you Elena," she says

"Ah, yes. Elena. changed your mind did you?" Lucius says

"Oh, you're Draco's Elena! Of course! " Narcissa says clearly recognizing me.

"Yes," I say smiling at Draco

"Will you be joining us this evening?" She asks

"Oh, I wasn't really-"

"Oh but you must, There's still plenty of time to get you a dress," Narcissa says

"Yes, it would be nice to have you," Lucius says as if he doesn't care.

There's some part of me that feels like he knows.. or knew about the baby. I'm more surprised that he actually remembered my name, or played it off like he did.

"I'm sorry, a dress for what?" I ask

"Well our annual Christmas ball of course," Narcissa says

"You did say you would come if you could," Draco says

"Alright, but I don't know how I'm going to afford a dress," I say

"Oh, don't worry about that. You're one of us now, you can afford anything" Narcissa says

Draco grabs my hand and I look up at him and smile. He took the news too well and now I never have to worry about it again.

"Draco," Lucius says "Come with me"

Draco lets go of my hand and follow Lucius into the other room. I'm left alone with Narcissa and she puts her bag down on a small table to the side.

"Well, we should be going if you're to ever find you a dress," Narcissa says turning on her heel.

"Alright," I say following her towards the fireplace.

"We'll go to  Madam Malkin's Robes," Narcissa says "she had the most beautiful selection"
