"Tony, please no." My sobs are muffled in my hand as my back scrapes slowly down the brick wall.

He had been kissing another woman when I found him. I remember her from the low point in our relationship, before he proposed. It had to be tonight? Out of all nights he chose our engagement party to cheat on me, again. I expected this, everyone told me he was a playboy. I swore to them all that I could change his ways, change him.

How could I lie to them, to myself? Deep down I knew that I couldn't change him. Yet, even deeper I still love him. Even after he took my heart and ripped it in half, I couldn't change the fact that I would take a bullet for him.

I stood up and brushed off any dirt on my dress he had bought me. Before I walked in I made sure to turn on soldier mode. It always amped my PTSD to the max whenever I did this, but it was the only way I could stop myself from breaking down.

Opening the door, I made sure to check my surroundings before continuing. Bucky came up to me and pulled me aside before I continued.

"Doll, snap out of it. What's wrong? Hydra?" His eyes were full of worry when I kept my face void of emotions.

"He kissed her. He's been with her for so long. I was going to leave him, but he proposed and promised to change." I broke for a second and let a light chuckle break through. "Funny, I guess we can't all change."

"No, Doll, you did change. You remembered for me. You broke me out and saved us both." I can tell how hard he's trying to get me to snap out of it.

"Barnes," it was him, please God, kill me now, "Whatcha doin' with my girl?" He had the nerve to wrap his arm around my waist and place his lips softly on my cheek, I felt the strong need to snap his neck. Just for a minute I broke through my facade.

"We were talkin' 'bout what happened before we got engaged." I gave Tony a sickly sweet smile that would have made any other man weak in the knees. "Can you continue? I have to go talk to Tasha and Clint. Thanks, Hon."

He flashed me a crooked smile before turning nervously to a fuming James Barnes. Cautiously, I made my way through the crowd, looking for my friends. They could help, being the ones who first told me Tony was no good. The soldier in me was saying be aware, keep your eyes open. And what did I do? I ran right into her.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't watc-"

"You know he doesn't love you, right?" the fake blonde snapped her gum and continued to annoyingly chomp it in my face.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Your fiancé. Yeah, he's totally bored of you. I mean you may be young and an Avenger, but to him you're broken. Just another sad little girl who was only good for a while, but got boring the second he met someone better." Her words hurt, but she's right, I am an Avenger.

"Yeah, keep tellin' yourself that honey." I start to walk away before she opens her stupid bitch mouth.

"I mean, you can't even give him a kid. After three times I would think you would get the hint." At this time a large crowd, including the rest of the team, started to gather.

"What did you just say?" I could feel heat travel throughout my entire body as I let the soldier take over.

"God, are you deaf? I said, after three miscarriages, I think you would get the hint." Bucky was holding Tony back. When I glanced at Tony I saw the tears streaming down his face.

I looked back at her and watched her laugh to her horrified friends. I walked right up to her and yanked at her hair so hard she crumpled to the ground with a scream. I continue to keep my hold on her hair as I walked through the crowd towards the door. The S.H.E.I.L.D. Agents, that are acting as security guards, watched as I threw her out of the door.

"Well, now that that's done, I respectfully ask all those who do not live on the property to please leave immediately."

I didn't wait for any response as I grabbed Tony by his ear and walked to the elevator and pressed the button to our floor. When the doors closed I released him and sighed in sadness.

"What were you thinking, Tony? Bringing her here? To our home? To our friends home? Telling her the secrets we promised not to tell anyone?"

"I'm so sorry, (Y/n)." He let out a shaky breath and I realized that he hasn't stopped crying. "I'm so sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it, Tony."

And it never will.
