Raine found Stacy's business card still neatly tucked in her pocket. Strangely, it had the logo of her college on it with black letters that read "Admissions Committee Review Board". Raine didn't have a clue what the committee even was. There was just a work number with an extension. Excited, Raine decided she would just show up by the admissions office on a day she had nothing better to do. When Friday rolled along, the campus was dead. Almost all the other students had gone home to be with family for the long weekend, so Raine found her way to a glass building hidden in a corner of the campus that she had never been to before. She opened the door and was greeted by a welcome desk by a large desk at the large silver elevators and someone she knew.

Something about Quin's eyes made them seem like shiny brown marbles. Raine loved that about his eyes - he had no eyelashes, eyebrows or hair. She remembered the first time they met in grade school like it was yesterday. While every kid was busy wiping snot on their sleeves and watching the teacher flip through a large book, Quin was plucking his eyelashes and neatly placing them on his a chair next to where he was sitting cross-legged on the floor. In his own little trance, it wasn't long after until another kid noticed. By the time they knew it, he was being teased for pulling out his eyelashes. The teasing never stopped, but that was the first day they spoke to each other and the first of many days where Raine would come to his defense.

"Quin! The fuck are you doing here?" Raine blinked as the tail end of her sentence echoed in the spacious lobby.

The tall bald Italian was surprised to see her. He lit up and ran around the desk to hug her.

"I just got a part-time job here!" He smiled brightly.

"And you didn't tell me you got the job? What kind of best friend are you?" Raine narrowed her eyes at him.

"I literally got the call yesterday, got busy, and started today," Quin shrugged, "Besides, it's not like I found you someone to date."

"Whatever, sassy," Raine loved the sound of his soft voice, but couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency as it was nearly four o'clock, "Do you know what floor Stacy is on?"

Quin couldn't help but let out a dramatic, "Ooh la la, who's," he gasped, "is that why you're all dressed up?"

Quin eyed her over to determine that she had brand new clothing on. From her grey Timberland boots to the black tank under the hoodie and chains. Quin was just happy to see that she finally had someone else to occupy her mind apart from her homophobic mother, but he stopped dead in his train of thought.

"Good lord, are those... Turn around now," he snapped.

Raine turned around and laughed, at the expected gasp.

"The newest pair of Dolce and Gabanna jeans?" His eyes widened as he covered both hands on his mouth.

"Yup. Business is doing good as usual," she grinned.

Quin snapped out of it and rolled his eyes, "Shady business..."

Shady business that I'm good at. Moved four ounces last week. Raine was always good at networking. Sexual and otherwise.

"Whatever," he said with disapproval written all over his way too innocent face, "So who is this woman?"

"Stacy," Raine pulled out the card, "...Frost is a woman I met at The Village," and she was really hot.

"My my... tell me more," He grinned as he scanned the list of directories on the tall marble surface attached to his desk.

He paused as a person walked out of the elevator rushed passed Raine. Their hands were in fists and it was obvious that they weren't having a good day.
