Chapter 20

Hailey's POV

"You seem to be holding up pretty well." My mom said, reaching over the table and squeezing my hand. I wasn't, I wasn't holding up at all. All I could think about was Liam's dead body lying in the ground because of me.

"I think that Annie and I are going to go home." I said standing up, pulling my hand back making Annie looking up at me.

"Do you want us to give you a ride?" My dad asked as I shook my head.

"No we will just stop at Annie's then call Harry to get us there." I said making them nod as Annie slowly stood up.

We said goodbye to my parents and then began the 5 minute walk to Annie's in the dark as she hand her arm linked in mine trying to comfort me as I stayed silent, my eyes fixated on the ground.

"I just cant believe he is gone." I whispered as she rubbed her hand up my forehead sighing.

"He's still here." She said making me nod.

When we got to Annie's  her mom was out like normal, probably at her boyfriend's house and her brother was gone too. Annie put her key in the door but it was already unlocked, making her freeze.

"It's fine, Jason probably left it unlocked." I said making her nod. She still didn't move so I sighed, pushing past her and walking in. I flicked the lights on and everything was in place, nothing out of the ordinary.

"See." I said turning back to her making her nod and step in. I bent down and took my shoes off and as I did so Annie let out a piercing scream making me stand up and spin around. Charlie, Harry's brother, was standing in her kitchen starring back at us.

"Charlie?" I asked. He was gone and then suddenly appeared right behind me, grabbing me by the neck making me gasp as he closed my air wave making me choke out.

"What are you doing!?" Annie screamed as I tried to desperately pry his arms off of me, feeling my head go light headed.

"This wont hurt." He whispered and suddenly something was thrown at my head making me fall to the ground before it all went black.

I woke up with my arms tied down to a chair in an empty room that was all concrete. Water was dripping from the ceiling and it smelt of decaying bodies. I tried moving in the chair and I realized that my legs were tied down too. The metal bands were held so tight my wrists and ankles were bleeding.

"Charlie!" I called out trying to frantically move my body as if some how i'd get free but it just hurt me more. I called out in pain and a heavy door opened, light pouring into the room making me realize I was in some sort of cellar. Charlie stepped in with a sinister smile on his face making me sink back into my chair.

Where was I?

Where was Harry?

Why was I here?

Where's Annie?

Why is Charlie here?

All questions I wanted to ask but I was too paralyzed by fear due to the gun in Charlie's right hand.

"W-whats that for? Are you going to kill me?" I stuttered making him shoot his head as he loaded the gun.

"No, just torture you," He said making my eyes fill up. "Eventually it wont hurt." He said pointing the gun to my leg.
