Thayer wouldn't look at Cole. That's how it had been since Cole lost the race. Cole had tried to talk to him, to apologize again and Thayer would explain, angrily , how he would kill him. After a few days, Cole gave up.

That is only one of our issues. The student body of West Coast, had noticed that Thayer's car was gone. We had the best rides of the school and when it had suddenly disappeared, people started to talk. The latest rumor was that Thayer had to sell it, in order to save Dakota's life who had been kidnapped.

How original.

"Don't we have to deliver Wiz's gift?" Theo asked.

Shit. He was right. With everything going on I forgot about him.

"Looks like it." I sighed, getting up to retrieve the envelope. I picked up my mattress, grabbed the envelope and tore it open. It was just a blank piece of paper with an untidy scrawl on it.

Pick up: Thornton Storage area. Unit 348, combo 3789.

Drop off: 232 Back road

There was nothing else on it.

"We'll go tomorrow after school." They nodded and everyone went to bed besides Dakota and I.

"So." she whispered. I already knew what she was going to ask. "How did the date go with Cole?"

I couldn't help my lips that twitched up in a form of a smile. "It was fun. He took me go kart racing. After that we just went to the beach and talked."

"Nothing else?" She asked.

"It was different." I mused.

"How so?"

"He wanted to get to know me by asking questions. Favorite colors, movies, tv shows, music. He didn't seem curious while asking these questions. He was genuinely interested in my answers." I said, as I remembered the way he looked at me.

"Aw. That's really sweet Trish. Do you think you'll go on another date? Do you think he's going to ask you to be his girlfriend? What are you going to say?" She whispered quickly.

"It was one date. I have no idea if he's going to ask me to be his girlfriend. We haven't talked much all week.

"Talk to him then!" She hissed

"I don't know how to!"

She smacked her hand to her forehead. "Just continue asking him more questions! At least tell him you enjoyed the date." She paused. "You did tell him you enjoyed yourself didn't you?"

I looked away from her.

"Trish!" She said a little loudly.

"Shhh! Do you want him to wake up or any of the others?" I asked.

She rolled her light brown eyes at me. "I see how he looks at you." She mumbled.

"What?" I asked.

"When you're not looking at him, he's looking at you. Whether it's here, school, or out anywhere else, he's always looking at you. He may look away for a moment or two but his eyes come back to you." She said with a small smile on her face.

I stared at her. How could I have not noticed his eyes on me? Months ago I remembered feeling his gaze on me all the time. Now, I never feel it or notice it. I voiced my thoughts to Dakota.

"That's because you're thinking he's like everyone else. He's not Trish. He's not Zeke, he's not some random dude at school. I can see that he has feelings for you. More now that you went on the date and you've seen to got to know each other."

I couldn't help but slightly flinch at the mention of Zeke. But I couldn't help the small smile  that appeared on my cheeks when she said he has feelings for me.

"Do you have feelings for Cole?"Dakota asked seriously.

I slowly nodded, unsure how she would react. I was unsure why I was feeling this way. It had only been one date, longingly looks on his part and me checking him out on.

Dakota's face blew up in a big smile and she started to clap her hands but I stopped her with a look.

"What would your ship name be? Colish? Trole?" She prattled on.

"All of them sound like diseases."

She laughed, not quietly at all and I couldn't help but join in with her.

"Will you two shut up?" A tired voice came from the bunk beds. Dakota and I looked at each other, before starting to laugh all over again.

A disheveled looking Paul came into the room, glaring at us. "All right, enough girl chat for the night. Bed time you two." Before we could protest, he swooped down and grabbed Dakota by her legs. He continued to throw her over his shoulder, much to her protest and disappeared into the darkness.

"Are you here to carry me?" I asked when Paul returned a few minutes later.

"No. You can walk."

I laughed again, getting up and hugged him before going to bed.
