Ava barely remembered...

She barely remembered the boy in front of her...

She hardly cared...

She just followed what she was being told because... she felt it was completely insane to do anything other than that. But yet she never remembered it afterwards, Noah didn't either, nobody did anymore.

Ava attempted another attack, but before she could even make contact with Neon, Mel crashed tackled her in mid-air and attempted to pin her. During this scuffle, Ava's weapon seemed to be crawling on its own and attempting to drive up Mel's arm.

Mel squealed as she slapped it off her and got kicked off by Ava. It was a powerful kick, one that sent Mel across the way.

Neon went to go help, but Noah attacked him from behind. Neon's mind was still numb but his body was trying to unlatch Noah from his neck or stop him from trying to smash him into the mud floor.

Ava was slowly walking over to Mel, who remained somewhat dazed on the ground as Ava raised her weapon to strike.

A rock bounced off her head.

Her attention went over to Kid, who was now on the ground, armed with some small rocks, and was throwing them as far as her little arms would take them. Some managed to hit Ava, others trembled to her feet. Ava's attention went entirely to Kid as she slowly walked over to Kid as she continued throwing rocks. Kid abandoned her rock throwing and scrambled backwards slightly.

Ava whipped the rope to Kid, the intention to peel off Kid's layers of skin. But Kid caught it, in her hand wriggled the spiky worm, slipping off her skin when it attempted to stick, and the spikes practically useless on Kid. Ava pulled against the rope in an attempt to get it back, but Kid suddenly became too heavy to move and would give it back to Ava. Kid allowed the rope to wrap around her little hand, only to grip it tighter and hold it with both hands. She gave it a giant tug and this time Ava was thrown forwards and landed face first in the mud.

The rope abandoned their master and retreated over to Kid, curling up her arm painlessly and coating her arm like an armour of vines. But slowly, the rope turned a deathly black and dissipated into black dust and seeped into her arm.

The weapon all but disappearing.

Ava pushed herself to her feet and went to attack, when the music changed and she stopped for a brief moment. Kid watched as Ava's head jerked to the side and stared at a gun, most likely Neon's, on the ground.

Kid was too far away to even remotely grab it before she did.

But Mel grabbed it before Ava, and held the gun at her, ready to fire.

Kid looked for Mr Wood while Mel yelled at Ava to stop.

Kid listened for the music and eventually saw Mr Wood playing the box still, the music was much more violent now, and he was turning the handle so quickly Kid wondered how on earth it hadn't snapped off.

Kid approached him, glaring at him for the most.

"Ava!" Mel yelled, "Ava, it's me. Mel..." Mel was close to tears, her hands trembling as she held the gun up, she never had much experience with guns. "Ava... come on, please, it's just me," her voice was wobbly.

Neon was hardly able to break free of the wrestle he was in the middle of to come to Mel's aid. But at the moment the two were just standing there looking at one another.

Goldie held up Faith and Kindness to Mr Wood, who looked down on him as if he was a cockroach. Goldie swung at Mr Wood, with his free hand Mr Wood held his arm up and Faith got stuck in what felt like wood.
