I am currently sitting in the café with Lyric waiting on my father and uncle. I am tapping my foot and looking at the door and mentally freaking myself out. Lyric grabs my hand and I look at him. "Hey. Relax."

"I can't."

"How about some tea to calm you?"

I nod. "That'd be great."

"Black tea always relaxes me so I'll order that." He motions for a waitress. "Hi. Can we get two cups of black tea both with sugar and milk and a few sugar cookies?"

"Of course." The waitress walks off.

"Everything will be fine." Lyric says.

"How do you know?"

"He's your father and hasn't seen you since you were a baby also. He's going into this knowing as much as you do."

I nod as the waitress brings our tea and cookies. "Thank you." I say as I take my glass. I sip the tea. "This is really good."

"It is. I have a lot of it at the house that I can make for you anytime you want it."

I smile. "That would be nice."

He smiles and nods. "You know, we need to start planning for the trip to Manchester. It's coming up soon."

"Yeah. When exactly is it?"

In about two weeks. I've already got the tickets. First class, by the way."

"How did you afford that?"

He waves his hand. "That's a story for another time."

"Why can't you tell me now?" I say looking at him.

"Because Steven just walked in with a man that might possibly be your father."

I can feel myself pale as I look towards the door of the crowded café. Sure enough, there's Steven with a man with black, shoulder length curly hair, and eyes just like mine. Blue with lavender specks in them. Oh my god. I look just like him. I need to get out of here. They don't see me yet so maybe I could-

"You're not leaving Lav."

"How did you know I was thinking that?"

"You had that look on your face. Like you were getting ready to run. I've seen it a lot."

I nod. "Just get their attention please..." The man I assume is my father looks nervous. Lyric stands up and motions for them to come to the booth in the back of the café we are in. Steven sees him and touches my father's arm. He motions him towards us. My father looks this way and I automatically know it's him. I look down at my tea and drink some in order to break the eye contact. They walk this way and sit with us.

"Hey guys how are you?" Steven asks.

"We are good." I say.

"Lavender, this is Max, your father."

I smile slightly. "Hello."

He smiles. "You look so much like your mother."

"Really? Because I thought I looked a lot like you honestly..."

"Oh, you do. Just how you carry yourself reminds me of your mother."

"Oh..." Lyric stands up and kisses my head.

"I'm going to go run a few errands. I'll be back later."

I look up at him, surprised. "What?"

"It's just to get a few things straight for our trip, okay?"
