I wake up and look around. I don't recognize where I am at all. I go to move and I'm held back something heavy. I look over and see Lyric asleep with his arm draped over me. Right. I remember now. We were on our way to work when he saw Elliot and had a panic attack of some kind. I lay back on the bed and sigh. I look over at Lyric sleeping. He looks so peaceful and at ease. He looks even more beautiful than usual, if that's even possible. Lyric stirs and opens his eyes slowly. "Hey." He says quietly.

"Hey. How did you sleep?"

"Amazingly. How about you?"

"Good. Although I need to go to the bathroom and your arm is right on my bladder."

"Oops. Sorry." He moves his arm. "The bathroom is across the hall."

"Thanks." I walk out of the room and into the bathroom. I try to calm my wild frizzy and curly hair. In the end I just put it in a ponytail. I walk out of the bathroom and Aaron walks out of another room with a laptop in is arms. "Oh. Hey."

"Hey."

"Is Lyric awake?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. Come with me. I made breakfast. Everyone else went home about ten last night."

I nod and follow him. He leads me into the kitchen where he has made scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits. "Help yourself to anything. There is milk, apple juice, and orange juice in the fridge. If you like tea there's some in the cabinet if you want to make some."

I nod. "Thanks."

He walks back into the living room and I add a biscuit, a few eggs and a piece of bacon to a plate. I then make me a glass of apple juice. I walk back into the living room where Aaron is looking at something on his computer. He seems to me concentrating really hard on it. I sit down on the couch beside him. "What are you looking at?"

"My email. Elliot's lawyer supposed to email me and Lyric letting us know when that bastard got out. If he didn't, he and I are going to have a talk."

I look at him shocked. "I don't think I have ever seen you like this."

He smiles slightly and looks up. "I'm very protective over those I love. Especially Lyric."

"What is yours and his age difference?"

"I'm four years older than him. We adopted him as a baby. He was a week old when everything went through."

"Where are his biological parents?"

"His father is somewhere here in America and his mother is Manchester. What happened was, they were young and stupid and Charles, his father, got Anna, his mother, pregnant. They didn't have the funds to care for him. So they put him up for adoption. It was an open adoption so Lyric has known his biological parents his whole life. He sees my- our parents as his actual parents though. He's told me this multiple times. He loves Anna because she tries, but Charles" he shrugs. "We don't know where he is or what he thinks. Haven't since Lyric was sixteen now. So for about four years."

I nod. "Oh."

"What about you? I don't really hear much about your parents."

I finish eating and sigh. "I don't know where they are. We got separated about three years ago when we were getting assigned an apartment."

"Oh. Well, that sucks."

"Yeah. It does. They would be dead and I would never know it."

He looks at me sadly. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Did you find anything?"

"Nope. I'm gonna be calling our lawyer later."

Lyric walks through to the kitchen then comes back with a plate of food. He sits down beside me and starts to eat. Aaron stands up. "I'm going to go ahead and call Bridget."
