Snakes: Y/n Potter

THE SORTING HAT

As y/n got back to her compartment she looked at Nova who was sleeping peacefully in her robes, then she felt herself go forward a little bit confused she got up and noticed that the train was at hogwarts already.

She got her luggage and owl and went to take it where she saw everyone put their luggage and heard "ALL FIRST YEARS OVER HERE!! ALL FIRST YEARS OVER HERE, PLEASE!!" Instantly, she recognized who's voice it belonged to.

Y/n watched Hagrid, and soon she saw Harry with the ginger haired boy. She watched as they walked off a bit then she started to follow,being cautious of her surroundings,she made sure no one else was following her as they walked down to the lake where there were boats waiting.

As all the first years got in the boats, y/n got in one that was empty on the far left where there was rarely anyone in. Nova hissed quietly. "Misstress,you wish to be the strongest?"

"I don't wish I will be the strongest.. but I'll need help to do it," y/n said with a soft but serious tone

*Those kids back on the train...* Nova hissed

"What about them?" Y/n asked

*well...I noticed they followed that boy,perhaps you can find friends who will help you?* Nova said happily

"Friends? I'll probably only need one friend but not the rest... I need help but not from children." Y/n said, looking over at other people who were talking with each other.

*Misstress... instead of friends, what about followers? They won't know what you have planned if you play your cards right. Nova hissed lightly, trying to help y/n

'Hmm.....that's not a bad idea' y/n thought to herself then watched as a big castle came into view.  "woah," y/n said lightly with a surprised look on her face

As the boats reached the bottom of the castle,all the students were told to follow Hagrid up the stairs to the main entrance of hogwarts.

As the students reached the steps that led to the great hall,they were stopped by a woman who looked to be in her fifties or sixties,looking down at the children.

"Welcome to hogwarts. Now, in a few moments, you'll pass through these doors and join your classmates,but before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindore, hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.  Now, while you're here,your house will be like your family,your triumphs will earn you new points,any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be awarded the house cup-" the woman said before she got cut off

"TREVOR!!" A random boy said, looking at a frog below her feet."Sorry.." the boy said afterward,looking down a bit.

"The sorting ceremony will begin in a momentarily," she said after and then walked away from the students.

"It's true then,what their saying on the train Harry and Y/n Potter have come to hogwarts," a boy with slick back blonde hair said loudly

Then everyone started to whisper, and y/n just watched carefully, trying to make sure no one saw her as she watched from 5 students away.

"This is Crabbe and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy..Draco Malfoy," the blonde boy said with a smile and then turned to the red-headed boy as he snickered at blonde boy.

"Think my names funny do ya? No need to ask yours...red hair and a hand me down robe...you must be a weasley!" The boy named Malfoy said harshly, making the red-haired boy look down

'God,their both pathetic' y/n thought to herself, still watching their interactions

"You'll soon find out that some Wizarding families are better than others Potter...you don't wanna go making friends with the wrong sort.. I can help you there," Malfoy replied and held his hand out to Harry
