Chan was staring at the ceiling, and his arms were still tightly wrapped around Danbi's small frame. Her left arm was across his stomach and her hand held onto the fabric of his black hoodie.

He held her most of the night, listening to her telling him about the ones she lost. A lot of tears were shed.

By the end is the night, Danbi fell asleep with puffy, red eyes, exhausted from the emotions. She had asked him if it was okay for him to stay like this. Chan reassured her more than once that it was.

He drifted to sleep right after Danbi, pulling the blanket over them completely.

It was almost midday when Chan woke up, the female still asleep in his arms. His eyes wandered over the peaceful face of hers, tried tears on her cheeks and the eyes swollen. But still beautiful.

If Chan was honest at this moment with himself, even with the world, he wanted to have her in his arms more often. Hear her thoughts, concerns and fears. Cuddle with her until both fell asleep.

The idol slowly raised his hand and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear, causing her to cuddle more into his chest. He halted his movements for a few seconds, heart fluttering before pulling the female even closer, his hand at the back of her head.

After some time Danbi began to stir in his arms, snuggling more into him before slowly opening her eyes.

"Hi," Chan whispered, looking down. He couldn't help himself and show his pair of dimples.
Danbi blushed, feeling a bit sleepy.

"Hi," She whispered back. "Thank you for being there." The colour of her cheeks deepened.

"Always." More words weren't needed for the money. They stayed like that for another hour before Chan's stomach rumbled, making them both laugh.

"Here you go, Bi." Chan sat down her bowl in front of her. She thanked him with a smile and waited for him to sit across from him.

They ate in silence, enjoying the company of each other. Both blushing when their eyes meet, glancing at each other.

"Danbi," Chan lowered his chopsticks and looked at the younger female in front of him. She already looked at him, interested in what he wanted to say.

"Today is not the right day for this but," he rubbed the back of his neck. Nervousness spread through Danbi's body making her palms sweaty.
"Can we talk about this? Us? Sometime?" He almost whispered while trying to read her.

Danbi knew someday Chan would ask and she wanted answers herself, badly but at the same time she was scared. So scared.

Her hands started to shake, impossible to hide.
He wanted to reach for hers but he didn't, scared of rejection.

After a few moments of silence, Danbi just stared at him, she almost not noticeably nodded.

„Yes." She smiled a bit, and tried to to reassure him that she wanted to talk as well.

He smiled, beaming smile, happily showing his dimples.

„Thank you." He reached for her hand, carefully taking it in his. His dumb caressing the back of her, the soft skin feeling like velvet.

It made her smile and felt like the sun was finally peaking out after cloudy days and rain. A glimmer in the dark. A spark of hope.
