Pushing the door open, Avantika was met with a completely messy living room. Things were shattered here and there, glasses were broken, and even blood was there... His blood. Her heartbeat stopped.

"Took you long enough to come back, Avantika Singh Rajawat?" She flinched and stumbled back upon hearing Anvay's hoarse voice. It was so icy that she knew whatever was going to happen wouldn't end on a good note.

She lifted her head, her swollen red eyes too exhausted to blink. They were hurting from all the crying, but when they met his cold ones, the pain directly hit her heart. "You deserve this," was all that came to her mind. Those eyes, once filled with love and adoration, were now glaring at her with pain and vexation.

"I-I told y-you I needed some time alone," she whispered with a broken voice. He scoffed, "Of course, wants to be alone," he taunted before taking long strides towards her and standing exactly in front of her. She avoided making any eye contact with him, which only angered him more.

"Look at me in my eyes. Now!" He demanded sternly, and shivers ran down her spine. If it was the old Avantika, she might have fought back, but this Avantika knows she's doing wrong to the man standing in front of her.

She knows that after giving him hope, she's going to break him again. Hoisting her neck to look directly into his eyes, "You want a divorce from me?" his expression was hard to read at the moment...did he already give up did she lose him too at the end...gathering all her shattered emotions, she nodded curtly.

He snickered, slightly more likely sarcastically, tilting his head. "Fine...okay, what are your plans after getting a divorce?" She frowned, why would he ask that...her eyes slightly widened. Could it be no!

"Come on, tell me, are you planning to get married to your former lover, that fucking cheater Pratik? Or..." in a blink, he pulled her towards him, both of their chests crashing together. She gasped at his sudden action, her hand striking at his hard chest.

The proximity between them was enough to let them feel each other's heartbeat. "Are you perhaps planning to run away?" His one hand waved the paper in the air. Her breath hitched and throat tightened...so he found out. Her head itself dropped down. If the guilt of earlier wasn't enough, this time she felt like killing herself.

"Flight Tickets to Melbourne, huh!" Anvay chuckled painfully, his grip on her waist tightened like she would vanish any moment if he let go.

Avantika remained silent, words refusing to come out of her mouth. He shook his head while laughing. "No, no, you must be thinking of first getting a divorce from me, then getting married to that man, and leaving for Melbourne, right?"

"Anvay, please don't say that. I would never," she whimpered.

"THEN WHAT IS THIS? WERE YOU THAT EAGER TO LEAVE ME? WHY ARE THESE PRE-BOOKED? TELL ME!" he raised his voice. She didn't even flinch because maybe she was expecting this. She wanted him to be in a cool mind when she explained it to him, but it seemed like that wasn't even an option.

"I-..."

"You know what? Let it be because again you'll feed me with some lies of yours, fake promises, and then give me fucking hopes... Fucking reasons to believe you so that at the end, you'll break them all," he let go of her. She was too stunned by his words to react; his words just stabbed her soul to the depth.

She tried to say something, but he just stared at her blankly before stepping back. He shook his head and turned his back on her. He was too hurt to hear her anymore. She was doing this as if he didn't mean anything to her at all. He thought she'd regret what she said in the hospital and would realize it soon, but here she was planning to leave him and fly off to another country. His head felt dizzy with everything going on.
