Just like another morning Anvay woke up and lifted his face from Avantika's chest, it was the most peaceful and delightful feeling he always feels seeing her sleeping beside him with such serene face. His arm wrapped around her waist while her 's on his hair stroking them until he fell asleep at night, their legs tangled together.
Though he still feels less worthy, he still couldn't help himself dreaming about their future life, a beautiful journey as a couple. He couldn't stop dreaming himself making love to her. How it will feel when she lays underneath him begging him for more.
How both of their souls and body will be connected together screaming nothing but love. "Uh...Good morning" his lane of thoughts broke hearing his wife's sweet raspy morning voice he smiled and kissed her nose "Very good morning, my baby" he mumbled smiling widely at her.
She giggled when he nudged his face in her neck sniffling her scent " Are you excited finally you're going back to your work place?" She asked when he rubbed his cheek on the crook of her neck " No... I want be with you " he muttered making the volcano of butterflies erupt inside her stomach she playfully rolled her eyes, uff his child like tantrums and slapped his back of the head slightly in response he bites her neck making her jolted up.
"Anvay !!" She shrieked in surprise, eyes widened "Tit for that my little nugget" he laughed she faked glared at him and shoved him away about to get off the bed when he held her by her waist pulling on to his chest as she sat on his lap.
He chuckled and kissed her cheek " I'm sorry but I love teasing my baby you know I love you..." he said and just wished she would reply him back with those same words only for him to felt disappointment when he sensed her getting tensed around his hold.
"A-Anvay..I- Hey it's okay hm... you don't have to say it back not like this. I do want to hear those lovely four words back from your mouth but not by burdening you with my feelings. I'll accept whatever your decision will be but I want you to be sure about it " he said placing chaste kisses over her exposed shoulder which was amazing there wasn't even a hint of lust or filthiness in them they were placed with the intentions of showing his affection and care.
Those lips of his slowly moved to her neck and then he turned her head making her face him and finally pecked her both cheeks smiling at her. "We should get ready for our work, aren't you getting late" he asked as she got up from his lap.
"Nah remember Spring break" she said walking out of the room he followed her whining "Hww...I too want some break I don't want to go back" he huffed Avantika rolled her eyes " You have already had enough of break Anvay a whole month away from your business. Your employees must be missing you specially the female population" he noticed the bitterness in her voice and he knew why it was there the moment he felt ashamed of himself.
He moved closer to her and took the mug of coffee from her hand, placing it on the slab. He cupped her face " I know what you're thinking and I can't be more ashamed of it I'm so sorry Avantika that you have to witness the most pathetic side of me all those months before and after our marriage. I cannot change what happened but I promise you are the one and only woman I want to be with the moment I accepted my feelings toward you. Even if tomorrow, you tell me you don't loves me back and have someone else I will happily see you getting marry to him-"
"Shut up you idiot man" she cut him off feeling her own heart getting heavy hearing his quavering voice and she knew how he's saying all these words keeping stone on his heart.
He laughed at her attempt to punching him with her tiny fist on his chest she looks so adorable. "Okay okay I'm sorry I'll rather punch that bastard face who try to take you away from me instead of stay side way and bawling my eyes out while seeing you becomes someone else" he stated seriously she sensed how the air was getting thick between them and decided to cut it shot.
"Yeah, yeah we'll see now enough go and get ready I have to prepare the breakfast" she shrugged him off and began preparing breakfast he sighed and hummed before placing a kiss on her cheek and leaving to get ready for his work.
Later he came back at the living room buttoning up the cuff of his shirt he found her talking to someone on phone and the happy mood was long gone she sounds upset and her face grimaced with sorrow.
He frowned and took long strides towards her as soon she cut the call "Baby what's wrong?" He asked standing in front of her the panicked flashed his face seeing her eyes glistening with fresh tears she was about to cry.
What was the phone call about? He wondered, placing his palm on her cheek he wiped the drop of tear trailed down from the corner of her eyes.
"What's wrong Avantika?" He asked softly she hugged him placing her face on his chest as he quickly embraced her in between his strong arms "I-It's Sanvi...she had a miscarriage she lost her twin babies and now admitted in hospital. It was my mom, she asked me to come and meet her because Sanvi was begging them to call me, she wanted to talk to me. A-Anvay can I- "No!" Anvay's gripped around her tightened she gasped at his bluntness.
"Huh?" She asked confused " No you're not going to meet her and that's final I don't want you anywhere near those people you understand?" He stated sternly making her blood boiled why wasn't he understanding the need of situation? She stared at him in disbelief "You must be joking right?" She pointed out he raised his eyebrow challenging her "No way Anvay how can you deny this we can't be so cruel she needs me there at least not as a sister but as a human being I should go and check up on her. You can't stop me " she raised her voice.
He sighed rubbing his temple in frustration the woman is so fucking stubborn but then that's another thing of her he's whipped about. He held her gently by her shoulders "Listen Avantika I have few things to sort out. If what I'm thinking is wrong, I'll myself take you to meet her at evening until then please respect what I'm saying I don't want you get hurt by anyone again."
He said she couldn't understand what he was saying " What are you saying Anvay I agree what they did was wrong but what are you trying to imply about? What are you thinking? what are the things you want it to be turn wrong?" She questioned frowning he sighed caressing her cheek with his thumb looking deep in her eyes.
"I can't tell you yet but there is something I'm trying to find out I got some clues but yet I haven't near the truth. I want you to trust me, okay, I don't want you to get hurt in any way. I love you and all I'm doing is to protect you" he said sincerely his eyes filled with love and warmth sighing she decided to just give up "Okay fine but you said you'll take me there at evening so I'm looking up to that " this was enough to made a smile broke into his face he took her hands and kissed the knuckles.
"Thanks for hearing me, Love let's have breakfast I'm getting late" they both had their breakfast before she walked behind him till the door he turned around and kissed her forehead as well cheek " Don't leave the house without informing me and I'm serious Avantika " he said gravelly before leaving the apartment.
If only he knew how both of their worlds would turn upside down in the span of a few hours he would never let her go out of his sight...if only.
