Megha's POV

" Why didn't you both bring the kids?" I complained

"Arsh was really cranky today so we thought to leave him with Mom, Dad and Jiya. You know how he loves to play with her and once Devu came to know that we are leaving him there, she also didn't want to miss the opportunity to play with Jiya" Meera said apologetically

" But someone reallllly wanted to come for his favvvvvorite Megha Aunty but had to finally bow down in front of his siblings" Adi said with a mischievous smile at Jeet

" Aww... I miss my Anshu too" hearing me, Adi's smirk increased while Jeet gave him a dirty scowl. Before I could ask him about that, I got distracted by Sapna

"Ayaan is with my parents . They have come from my hometown to just spend time with him , special note with HIM , so we let them be"

" Come on Sapna, How can you be jealous of your own son? " Saahil asked with his usual dramatic flair

" I am not jealous, just saying that I am their only daughter "

"Asal se zyada sood pyara hota hai" Saahil mimicked Sapna , "Remember you only said this when MY parents came"

Ignoring Sapna's glare, he continued

" Megha ... Leave all this and tell me what you have prepared. You know, in preparation for your feast I have not eaten any breakfast too.... So I am really hungry...."

" That's one thing you do perfectly, eat" Sapna taunted

Giving her a scowl , Saahil dragged me towards the dining table while the others followed with a knowing smile.

I was really excited for today but nervous too. For the first time in my life , I am preparing such a big feast that too single handedly.

But I know even if I make any mistake, these people will never make me feel bad. I am so lucky to get such great friends especially Meera.

" Megha, the food was fabulous " Saahil praised me as we were sitting around in the living room after lunch

" Really, you are not just saying that to keep my heart" I asked nervously

" No... for once , I completely agree with him. I have never had such a delicious south Indian food before" Sapna added

I beamed on receiving such praise for my food.

" I agree, Because it was so delicious,I ate too much, now I won't be needing dinner" Adi also complimented me

" Wow .... I got a compliment from ADI... Jeet, don't forget to take the clothes from outside. It may rain today"

" My fault that I praised you" Adi huffed

" Sorry .... sorry .....sorry.....I take back my words.... and thank you so much"

" Better" he said showing a fake attitude

" I actually regret not bringing the kids. They would have enjoyed this . The food was out of the world. Now actually we should ask you to cook more often"

Hearing Meera's appreciation, I couldn't control my happiness.

" Thank you ... Thank you ....Thank you" I smiled excitedly and hugged Meera tightly, " I was so scared that my food won't be up to the mark but you liked it now I am so relieved"

" Oh... Hello... Is there no weightage for our words" Saahil asked outraged

"Oh ho Saahil, In matters of food you all have to agree that Meera is the ultimate judge " I said in my defense

They all looked at each other for a moment but finally nodded their head in acceptance of my words.

" By the by Meera, I have kept apart some food for the kids and some payasam for Uncle and Aunty too and Sapna, I have kept some for Ayaan too. Sorry, I didn't know your parents are here, otherwise I would have made more. But still there is enough. Just don't give Saahil" I added cheekily

"Et tu, Brute? I always support you and this is my prize for my loyalty?" Saahil said while acting as if wiping off his tears

" Dramebaaz" Adi scoffed

" I maybe a dramebaaz" then he took a pregnant pause before continuing, "but today someone has become a full fledged Romeo and is not able to take his eyes off his wife"

" What! I didn't do anything" Jeet immediately responded

" When did I take your name ,Abhi?" Saahil teased

I was surprised to see Jeet blushing

" Ohhhhh... some one is blushing" Adi too joined in the teasing

" Can you both cut it out?" Jeet was trying his level best to change the topic.

Finally I decided to help my dear husband . In a way he is getting teased because of me only, right?

" Hello....why are you teasing him? He is looking at HIS wife not any neighbor's wife"

" Exactly... You should learn something from Abhi, Saahil" Sapna remarked

Saahil was stupified with the way the tide turned against him.

" Today is not at all your day" Abhi said while giving a sad smile

" You know I always wanted to ask one thing. " Adi suddenly spoke

As I turned to him, he continued, " Was it love marriage or arranged marriage for both of you?"

" Arranged" I said

" Love " Abhi replied simultaneously

For a moment nobody spoke, everyone was looking at us like we have grown two heads

I glared at Abhi while he just shrugged his shoulder and gave a mischievous smile

"I knew your love story will be different..." Saahil exclaimed enthusiastically

"ARRANGED" I repeated loudly with a scowl

" Hmmmm..... interesting.... Megha, I always thought you to be a love marriage kind of girl and Abhi to be the arranged type of guy" Adi admitted

" What...! " I was officially offended, " Don't you know to never judge a book by its cover. I was a good and obedient girl of my parents"

" What do you mean good and obedient? Just because we fall in love before marriage doesn't mean we are bad" Jeet spoke defensively

" I agree"

I glared at Saahil on his support to Jeet

"But whatever, please tell us your story?" Saahil pleaded

" No.." I said arrogantly

" Pleeease Megha" This time it was Meera and I was baffled as I could never refuse her

Before I could reply, Jeet's phone rang.

Suddenly , I saw him freeze before declining the call. But it didn't stop there , it continued ringing

"Abhi, it must be something urgent . Take the call" Adi advised

Giving a fake smile, he went a little further away to take the call.

I observed him from the distance. The frown lines, the clenching of jaws, the flaring of nose , classic example of him being tensed and stressed out.

I decided to talk to him as soon as everyone leaves.
