"You're unbelievable. Who says, "What a nice river! and then jumps into the middle of a job?! Thanks to you, look. See how off schedule we are now!?" Kunikida scolded Dazai, his voice dripping with displeasure. Following the events of earlier today, Dazai extends an invitation to Atsushi to join him and his partner for dinner at a Japanese tea house. The two are currently indulging in a meal that is being paid for by Dazai's companion."

As [Y/n] waited for her tea to arrive, she couldn't help but notice that Atsushi was devouring his Tea Over Rice next to her with a voracious appetite. He had already consumed 11 bowls of the dish, and he showed no signs of slowing down. His mouthfuls were enormous, and he chewed each piece of food thoroughly before swallowing. "You sure like your schedules, Kunikida-Kun." He spoke idly while keeping his hands folded and resting his chin on his palm.

With a dramatic flourish, Kunikida closed his notebook and slammed it down on the table, causing the surface to vibrate. "This isn't a schedule. This is an ideal! My guide in life! And nowhere in this book is written that my work partner is a suicidal maniac!" With a furrowed brow, he notices [Y/n] disapproving gaze. "Suicidal maniac?" Atsushi spoke, his speech muffled due to the food in his mouth. With a furious look on his face, Kunikida snapped his neck in the direction of the boy. "Shut up!"

"Nowhere on my projected expenses page will you find written that I will buy a million bowls of chazuke for a snot-nosed brat." Disregarding the three, their waitress placed a cup on the table and poured the female some tea. After thanking the waitress, [Y/n] brought the cup to her lips and took a slow, deep sip, letting out a sigh of relief at the warm, comforting flavor of the tea.

Begrudgingly, Kunikida sank into his chair and sighed in frustration.

"Snot-nosed brat?"

"Like I said, its a job!"

"What kind of job?"

"Our job today? It involves the military.

"How exactly are you two communicating?" Dazai cast a curious glance back between the two. [Y/n] set her cup down after she had finished drinking, her eyebrows raised at him. [Y/n] remained unbothered, her icy demeanor not giving away any hint of emotion.

"I'm surprised you couldn't catch what they were saying. You frequently express yourself inexpressibly. I wonder whether you're too dense to understand." [Y/n] said coolly, leaning forward in her chair with her chin resting on her palm. Dazai exhaled in an unnecessarily dramatic manner as if he were offended, but his face twisted into a mischievous grin. "My dear, it's not about density; it's about complexity. Some thoughts are simply too intricate to be conveyed through mere words." [Y/n] shook her head and requested the waiter to get her some more tea.
