Sapnap POV.

All around the docks there was only darkness and silence. The place had been abandoned by the public years ago, and Skeppy, Dream, and I had taken over it a couple of months after that had happened. But tonight, it truly felt abandoned, as if the world was telling us that it was time to give up.

It felt like the world wanted us to give up, however I could only think about one thing at the moment. One person. And I was hoping that, even with everything that happened, he would show up.
Please Karl, at least show up once so we can talk.

Maybe he thought that it was too dangerous now, since Dream knew. The brunette probably figured that he would be killed or caught the second that he teleported within ten feet of the dock. But that obviously wouldn’t happen to him. He should know that I would never let that happen to him.

“Are you feeling okay Sap?” Skeppy asked, knocking on the door of my room before stepping inside silently. He gave me a pitiful look as he walked over and sat on my bed beside me.
“Do I look okay, Skep?” I responded. “Karl and George had their covers blown. They are probably scared for their lives right now.”

“Do you think that they shouldn’t be scared?” The other ravenette questioned. “I mean, Karl risked his life and exposed himself to save you. Then the two of them had to run to avoid getting killed by Wilbur… or Dream.”
“I don’t think Dream would have killed either of-”

“You know what Dream’s like.” Skeppy cut me off. “Once he feels betrayed by someone close he can go into a… how do I put this lightly… rage.” He gave me a look and I huffed.
“I know, but he cares about George. Surely He wouldn’t-”

Once again Skeppy cut me off. “He cared about George, then he found out George has been one of his biggest threats for years. You do know how personal they got. Dream is probably worried that George will tell the whole city what he found out.”

“Is Dream really scared that the whole city might end up knowing his kinks?” I decided to ask, as a way to make myself laugh along with them.
Skeppy chuckled too, but added a small ‘possibly’ in between his laughs.

“And even if they don’t want to admit it, Dream and George clearly care about each other. I doubt that they want to do anything to hurt one another, at least deep down.”
“Wow,” I smirked. “When did you end up getting so smart?” I jokingly asked the gem thief, who smiled softly at the question.

“Well, Bad and I have been talking a lot. Until he ended up in hospital the other day.” My smile faltered slightly when I saw the look on his face.
“Really?” I couldn’t help but be sceptical. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great Skeppy found someone, but what are the chances that three criminals fell in love with three superheroes.

“Really.” Skeppy confirmed, and I beamed up at him as he shifted around cautiously, not sure how I would react now that I knew.
“Congratulations man,” I said loudly, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. “Looks like you, me, and Dream are just all banging heroes.”

A smile appeared on Skeppy’s face as he crossed his arms. “No comment,” the ravenette scoffed. “Plus, whatever I did with Bad would not have been as gross as what you’ve probably done with Karl.”
“Also no comment.” I said with a shit-eating grin.

For a moment we had fallen into silence before suddenly something fell on me with a loud ‘oof’ noise coming from both of us, since the collision caused the wind to be knocked out of me. I looked up to see Karl there, his eyes wide, and they immediately began tearing up when he saw me as he buried his head into my shoulder.

Skeppy seemed just as shocked as I was, but he stood up and told us that he’d give us some privacy before walking out. Part of me felt bad for him, after all he and George had told me that Bad had ended up in an explosion, meaning that Skeppy would be unable to see them for who knows how long, but that wasn’t my top priority at the moment.

The moment Karl had recovered from his teleporting he began muttering swift apologies into my neck. Simply repeating the phrase ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.’ while my shirt began to get drenched with tears from the brunette. “Karl, baby, look at me.” I instructed, feeling my heart well with joy as he sat in my arms again.

His tear filled eyes leaned back so he could look into my eyes. I moved one of the hands I had wrapped around his waist to cup his cheek before whispering quietly. “You don’t need to apologise for anything. You didn’t do anything wrong, okay?”
“But… but…” he began to stammer, and I cut him off.

“Karl. You don’t have to apologise for anything.” I told him softly. “You had to blow your cover to save my life. That shows how caring you are. If anything I should be thanking you.” A small smile appeared on his face as I said that. I pulled myself and the brunette who was still sniffling softly onto the bed, so that the two of us could cuddle.

“Are you feeling okay?” I decided to ask him. After all that has happened in the past couple of weeks it surprised me how he was still able to be as strong and brave as he was. Being a superhero had to be a lot of work, and I never really thought about that before. Unlike a criminal he always had to be ready, but now the three biggest threats all knew who they were.

“No. I feel bad. I exposed myself. I exposed George. What I did could have gotten us all hurt. But are you okay?” He responded, and I couldn’t help but smile at how quickly he turned to make sure I was alright. “I had thought about going back after I got George out of there, to save you. I thought that you, Dream, and Skeppy might all be dead.”

“Well I am okay. And the two of us are together again,” I reassured him. “So we will be fine. Right? This will work out, won’t it?” Karl didn’t respond, and when I went to look at him I noticed that he had fallen asleep. So I answered my own question, saying to myself that it would be alright.
