"Why did I have to come?"
"Because your going to the dance so you need a dress" Lav replies as she looks at the dresses on the rail "this is pretty, what do you think?"
"What do I think? What do I think? I think I want to be in my dorm reading and not looking at dresses, I'm not going to that dance!" I snap, completely done with this situation
"Yes you are, we're going as a team, this is nice" Coral interferes as she then holds up a purple dress
"I'd have to be dead before someone managed to force me into that" I look at the dress in disgust
"Well help us find one for you then and one's for us"
"No thanks" I cross my arms over my chest as I lay my head back on the sofa in the shop
"Lav what do you think about this one for me?" I look up mildly interested
"Oooooh" Lav analysis the dress; which is a light pink short dress with a tight top and a skirt that flows to just above the knees "that'd look gorgeous on you, go try it on"
Coral comes out wearing the dress and I'll admit it did look nice
"That's the one" Lav shrieks like a child in a sweet shop
"What do you think Silver?"
"Looks good" I answer honestly
"What about this one for me?" Lav holds up a dark purple lacy short dress
"Try it on" Coral demands
Lav comes out wearing the dress and again it looks nice
"Well?" She asks
"Amazing, now to find one for Silver" Coral and Lav go and change out of the dresses before looking for a dress for me no matter how much I protest
"This" Lav holds up a long black dress which has a mesh like material attached to the straps at the top looking like some kind of cloak.
"Try it"
"No" I groan
"Go" Coral points to the changing room and I begrudgingly take the dress and put it on, I'll admit it looks cool, my kind of style but I don't want to go to this dance "come and show us" Coral calls through the door and I reluctantly leave the little changing room
"That looks amazing" Lav squeals
"You look hot" I roll my eyes
"I'll go for 10 minutes that's it" the two girls cheer as I give in
We pay for the dresses and leave, as we end up back on Beacon grounds I see Blake and walk away from the two hyper girls as quickly as possible
"Blake"
"Hi" she turns to face me and spots what's in my hands "is that a dress for the dance?" She points to it
"Yes, so?"
"I thought you said there's no way you would go"
"I did say that"
"If it helps I'm going to, Yang convinced me to go, you were right I was moping, I became obsessed with the investigation and after a long sleep I realised I would have made myself ill or put myself in a dangerous position if I were to carry on what I was doing." I nod agreeing with what she's saying "I feel like it's my duty, I mean we were members"
"Yeah were, past tense"
"I know" she sighs
"Oh hey does this mean you're going with Sunny?" I wink
"Shut up" and I laugh as she walks away
"Not a chance" I follow her
Once we enter the school heading for the library I fall into step with her
"How did Blondie convince you anyway?" I ask actually curious
"She's been through a similar thing" Blake says
"What like she was in a destructive group that wants humans dead?" I raise a brow
"Way to sum it up but no, I mean she went to deep into an investigation and put herself and Ruby into a dangerous position, it was lucky her uncle got them out" We enter my dorm which is empty, I sit on my bed as Blake sits at my small desk in the corner
"What was she trying to do?" She eyes me
"This doesn't get out, I'm not sure she wants people to know"
"Alright, cross my heart and all that"
"You really have a way with words"
"Shut up and spit it out" I demand
"She was looking for her mother who left her when she was a child, she had got some intel and went to search for her but was surrounded by Grimm which she couldn't fight off" she tells me
"Oh Damn" I mutter
"Yeah" Blake whispers
We sit in silence for a while both enjoying the silence and peace.
"Are you going to get a dress?" I ask my sister who looks up and rolls her eyes
"Going to have to" she sighs "I'll probably get Yang to go with me since she's the one who talked me into going" I hum in acknowledgement.
I lay my head on my pillow and grab my book off my little bedside table, flicking to the page my bookmark is in I begin to read.
Short chapter this one before the dance chapter, sorry it took so long.
