Can you believe we reached the end?

I certainly can't.

prepare for this chaotic mess.

hope it makes sense.

also I'll post another thing after this, so make sure you check it out because it is important. it is something a lot of you have been anticipating, so make sure you read full the end.

At first Unfiltered was a book I wrote because I wanted to tackle the topic of sex addiction. But I slowly changed my mind because the more I thought of it and the more I wrote, the more I saw the similarities between jimin and nox.

Both characters are victims of abuse. On one hand Jimin was holding back against his ex-girlfriend until he finally decided to leave and on the other hand, Nox accepted months of physical and mental abuse from her ex, Elijah. JM and Nox are two completely different people whose experiences bind them together.

The truth is, I started writing Unfiltered completely randomly. Fun fact, when I first started writing it, I was supposed to take an English test in order to get a special certificate. I was going through a hard time because I had flunked my entrance exams. I had lost all hope when it came to academics (Idk if it reminds you of someone...) and it really took a toll on me.

The test was pretty fucking simple tho. I didn't even study for it and I passed with flying colors.

My point is, I started writing Unfiltered to prove to myself I was capable of using the English language and i didn't need a certificate to prove it. I was writing because I wanted to gain more confidence.

As you can see, I was writing mostly on a whim. I improvised as I went and many of you liked where the story was going (even when I wasn't so sure myself).

In the end, I decided to make this story about two people who have suffered through some form of abuse. Both of them lead different lives yet they share a deep understanding. Both of them need to work through their issues, especially Nox.

'Unfiltered' doesn't have the type of ending you might have expected and as you may already know, I don't go for the textbook type of ending that is full. For me an ending signifies a new beginning, because this is what living feels like.

Jimin and Nox needed the distance because they both needed to focus on their own happiness as individuals, before reuniting. They each focused on themselves while maintaining contact, only to return stronger than ever.

You only truly love someone when you're capable of letting them go.

Which is why jimin and nox's story might have come to an end on paper, but their journey is everlasting. They live inside of my mind, having endless conversations and bickering like kids and they are alive inside your minds.

I want to say, thank you for reading Unfiltered. Thank you for expressing your love through votes, heartfelt comments and dms. I screenshot comments that make me feel emo because I like reading them when I'm down. I honestly can't express how thankful I am for having such supportive and loving readers.

Words simply aren't enough.

This book is dedicated to one of my best friends, Kate aka Jungkookdipity She stuck with me through a huge part of my writing journey, jotting down notes and constructive criticism about my other book Eye Candy and I was left in awe. I didn't know what else to do other than dedicate a book to her as a thank you.

Fun fact, the reason why I dedicated this book specifically was because as I was reviewing some of the chapters, I came a across some of Jimin and Yoongi's conversations. It reminded me of our interactions because I can be petty and act like a smart ass like Yoongi while K. is literally like Jimin bc i be throwing her shit like yoongi and she tolerates my dumb ass.

The biggest irony of all is that I wrote this chaotic duo before we even became friends.

thank you for putting up with my shit bitch🖤

Special thanks go to my best friend Mars who is reading all. my. shit despite her hectic schedule. Everytime we meet and she's read my chapters, she'd give me constructive criticism and even suggest some amazing ideas my two braincells couldn't think of. For real her ideas are fucking amazing.

I wouldn't know what to do if she didn't guide me.

Thank you for sticking with me for sooooooooooooooo long bitch🖤

This book is also dedicated to every single one of you that has felt some type of hurt. No matter what kind of pain you bear, I see you and I want you to know that you're strong enough to overcome it.

Your pain is yours to bear as it is yours to extinguish.

I believe in you  🖤
