When I got home, I went into Shuu's room.
"Ah, what do you need?" He asked.
"Do you want to go to the new amusement park that opened up? I'm going with my friend." I invited.
"You mean that friend that walked you home?" he asked, raising a brow.
"Yeah."
"Sure, I have nothing else to do," He replied.
"This is my chance to get to know who he really is," He thought to himself.
"Cool," I said as I went back to my room.
What was with that expression though?...
The next day, I made breakfast and went into Shuu's room.
"Yo, you ready to leave yet?" I asked. "I already made breakfast."
"Yeah, let's go."
After eating breakfast and cleaning up, we headed to the amusement park.
Upon their arrival, Karma was already waiting at the gates.
"Karma!" I shouted and waved my hand in the air.
"Sup." he turned to see Shuu. "So this must be your brother, right?"
"Yup!"
"Nice to meet cha. Name's Akabane Karma, but feel free to call me Karma." he introduced.
"Gakushuu Asano. It's a pleasure to meet you." he smiled.
"Who names their child 'Karma'?" he thought to himself.
"So, let's get going, yea? Before the line gets too long," I pointed at the lines that were slowly getting longer.
While the two of them were conversing, more like Shuu's interrogating, I sneaked off to the food stalls. I needed to know what that strong, sweet aroma was.
"Where the hell did she sneak off to?" Karma questioned.
"Beats me, but knowing her it's probably the food stalls," Gakushuu guessed.
"Yup. Let's go."
By the time they got to the food stalls, I already finished eating.
"Hey guys, wanna go on some rides now?" I asked as they came up to me.
"But you just ate," Karma and Shuu said at the same time.
"It's ok! I won't feel nauseous after goin' on a few rides, I swear. Now let's go!" I jumped up from my seat and linked my arms with theirs, basically dragging them over the to the rides.
We went on almost all the rides and I kept my promise of not puking.
Eventually, the sky turned into a pretty sunset ombré, with orange, red, pink, and blue.
For our last ride, we went on the ferris wheel. Luckily for us, the line wasn't too long.
When we got in, I sat on one side while Shuu and Karma sat across from me. I could feel the annoyance and tension from the boy's auras
I sighed, "What's with you guys and staring daggers at each other?"
"We're not!" they said in unison.
"Surreee you're not," I said sarcastically. "Hey, you know where we should go after this...?"
"Where?" Shuu asked.
"The summer festival." I answered.
The boys agreed and when the ride was over we started to walk there. It was an awkward, silent journey.
Since we haven't eaten anything for dinner yet, we agreed on a meeting spot and split up to buy some food.
I took the longest, so the guys were making small talk.
At one point, Shuu bluntly said that he didn't trust Karma, which didn't shock him.
Not long after, I came back with some fresh takoyaki.
After we were finished eating, we heard the fireworks were going to start soon.
I quickly bought some taiyaki with red bean paste inside for myself—to eat while we watched the fireworks—since I didn't ask the guys if they wanted any.
We found a good spot to watch the fireworks, and just on time too.
As they were enjoying the fireworks, two crows were discreetly picking off bits of Shiniko's taiyaki.
When I went to take a bite of my taiyaki, half of it was gone. "You guys are so mean... If you guys wanted some, you could've just asked me to buy some. I will avenge my taiyaki."
"How?" Shuu asked.
"You'll see~" I smiled.
"Do your worst. I want to see what you can do," Karma added with a smirk.
Once the fireworks ended, we started to walk home. I jumped onto Karma's back and made him give me a piggyback ride for the first half of the way home.
Then for the rest of the way, I was on Shuu's back and had him carry me until we got home.
It was late at night, and I started to get sleepy. I ended up falling asleep on Shuu's back.
"It was nice meeting you, Akabane. Have a good evening."
"You too, it was nice to meet you, Asano."
Shuu carried Shiniko back into her room and tucked her into bed.
~Karma's PoV~
Wow, his brother's kinda of a jerk. Being the son of the principal, he'll most likely be going there too.
Well, there can only be one top student, and that will be me.
Watch your back Asano Gakushuu, I will beat you...
