You are Captain's Lieutenant, or should I say the person he has the biggest crush on

You had decided to take the transfer to South Africa, to get in with the fighting

The last time you saw him this happened:

' I shall miss you y/l/n '

Your smile faded, not because you felt uncomfortable... but because the look in his eyes told you he loved you back...

You had been in love with the man since you became his Lieutenant

And now you were leaving

'I- by that I mean, we shall miss you... '

' ... I'll miss you too captain ' you murmured

He frowned before saying ' y-yes... you make sure to give them a bloody nose!... it's a Bally shame we won't be able to finish the operation together...'

You nodded, trying to stop the tears from welling up in your eyes before saying ' goodbye... Theodore '

You then left

It was now a year later it was 1944

And you had been rushed back to England... to button house because you had been shot, you'd been shot in the stomach sadly

' captain! ' Captians new Lieutenant cried, bursting in through the door

' y-yes?' He said shocked that the man would burst in like that

' a man has been sent back to button house... he's injured ' the man said before leaving

Captains eyes widened, hardly any of his men had been sent back because of injuries

He just hoped it wasn't you... he was devastated to see it was you

He rushed over to your side after telling the men standing around you to leave

You were now in the room alone together

' s-sir? ' you muttered

' im here Lieutenant' he said placing his hand over the shot wound to try stop the bleeding

What you didn't know was there were 4 ghosts watching you both sadly as you died

' c-captain... I'm- I'm sorry for leaving ' you said quietly, trying to ignore the burning feeling in your stomach

' never mind that now... t-there's a medic on the way! ' he said

You smiled softly and carefully lifted your hand to wipe away the tears that had began to leak from the captains eyes

' it's ok... Captain.... I-'

He smiled tearily as you tried to get the words out ' captain... I love you' you said eventually making his eyes widen, looking around to check no one was there ( there wasn't, they had left as asked)
