Four days later

Natasha walked behind Nick Fury. He had something to show her. With Vienna getting better every day she was more comfortable travelling around the compound.

"So what's the problem Nick?" Nat asked him as she extended her stride to keep up with him.

"We're in hot water with the Russians again," he told her simply as he continued to walk quickly down the corridor.

"When aren't we?" Natasha joked, glancing up at him.

"We kidnapped one of their representatives," Fury explained, reaching the closed door he was leading her to and pausing, "one of their officially dead representatives, someone I watched get shot."

Fury pushed open the door, revealing an old man restrained to a chair. His white hair thinning and falling out of place.

"Little Natasha," he smiled wickedly as he lifted his head, "all grown up, I haven't seen you in years."

"Sidorov," Natasha sighed, he was one of Dreykov's friends, may as well get straight to the point, "why pretend to be dead? Why not gloat?"

He burst out laughing, like what she said had been ridiculous, "when the red widow shoots you and you don't die, you hide and pray she never finds you again."

Natasha smiled slightly and gave a 'fair enough' expression before turning to Nick. "So what's he doing here?"

"He tried to reenter the US," Fury explained, "he was captured as a spy from Moscow, he was only brought here when we figured out who he was."

"Why are you in the US?" Natasha asked, as she folded her arms across her chest and turned back to Sidorov.

"How is she? What is it you call her, Vienna?" Sidorov asked her, dodging her question, "they screwed up her head, making her be everyone's perfect weapon. A weapon is only perfect if it serves one purpose, I wanted to keep her focused but no one listened to me."

"No ones listening to you now either," Natasha told him harshly, a glare on her face as she looked down at him, "Vienna's doing fine, I'm sure she'd love to know your here. Maybe I should go get her."

"You would subject me to such a fate," Sidorov's face fell, he couldn't do anything if Vienna attacked him now.

Keeping the fact that Vienna was seriously ill and injured from him was clearly important now. Out of his control, Vienna terrified him.

"You keep talking and no one will tell miss Retnikopf that you're here," Fury told him, glancing up at the camera that was pointed at him in the corner of the room as he turned around, "I was going to let Hill interrogate him, unless you want to stay Natasha."

"No, I'm all good," Nat smirked back at Sidorov, "I think I'm gonna go pay my little sister a visit."

"You promised," Sidorov called after her as she walked out of the door to his cell, "you made a promise Romanoff!"

The door closed behind her as she continued to be shouted at by Sidorov. Whatever he was doing there, she wouldn't tell Vienna, she wouldn't have done even if she had been healthy. Sidorov was right, they had screwed up her head and finding out that Sidorov was alive wouldn't help her.
