Several Months Later

It was dark in the room where Kate Bishop was standing, back to back with her team mate, Harley Keener. There were five of them in total. James Rogers, grandson of the first Captain America, Peter Parker, Spiderman, Shuri, current holder of the mantle of the Black Panther. Kate Bishop, Hawkeye, and Harley Keener, Iron Lad.

Reforming a team of Avengers after Thanos had been a task for Fury but he had managed to bring in the next generation of heroes. All the grown ups were either too tired or dead. They were all he had.

The Young Avengers had been sent on a test mission to a low level Hydra hide out. Fury knew there was nothing there, all they had to do was clean it out.

"What was that?" Kate asked as a strange noise came from the upper level that surrounded them.

"I got it," Peter chirped, swinging passed Kate's head towards the noise.

He was ready to fight but something felt off, as he touched down to the floor a Hydra agent fell into him. Before he could think he caught the limp person.

"He's dead," Peter mumbled as he pushed the agent up to look at him a bit better.

Another clank came from behind them and another agent fell into the light.

"What the hell's going on?" James asked, frowning as he scanned the area around them, "Shuri?"

"Right here," Shuri said, appearing behind him, making him jump a little, "it wasn't me."

"Harley, can you give us some light?" Kate asked, drawing her bow back to her cheek.

Lighting up the palms of the hands on his suit, Harley made two beams of light to scan across the shadows of the room. As he lit up the area where the last agent fell, movement drew his attention. He moved with it to another agent who got hit in the back of the neck with something and fell.

Quickly, he darted his torch back in the direction the movement come from hoping to see who had thrown whatever it was, but there was no one. They all held silent. There was a slight mumbling then another agent fell.

"There," Peter said, darting into action.

He sprung forward and landed hard against the wall, he could sense someone jumping out of the way. He probably shouldn't have announced that he was going to attack. He turned to jump again, landing directly in front of Nick Fury who had been watching them without their knowing.

"Mr Fury sir," Peter stumbled over his words slightly as he glanced over at a blonde woman he didn't recognise who was severely out of breath, standing behind Fury.

"It's okay Parker," Fury told him, giving him a nod as he looked back at Yelena who was now standing back up right, "I'll take it from here."

Peter gave him a nod and jumped back down to his team.

"So, I don't believe that you'd be able to do that on your own," Fury said, looking over the railing at the bodies on the floor, "not that fast anyway, where's your sister?"

"She's dead," a bitter voice said behind him, emerging from the shadow.

"And what do I owe this pleasure to, project red widow," Fury smiled a little once he heard her voice. They had never met in person but he had heard the stories about the agent with no official name.

"My name is Vienna, it's what my mother called me," Vienna told him, walking over to Yelena to check if she was okay after almost getting hit by Spiderman, "so it is my name."

"I prefer more formal titles," Fury knew that pushing at her buttons wasn't his best idea but the two of them was obviously there for something.

"Call me project red widow again and I'll cut your other eye out," Vienna said turning back to him after getting her hand brushed off of her sister's shoulder.

"Well, Vienna. Yelena. What do you want from me?" he asked turning back to look down at his new team of avengers.

"Space ship." Was all Yelena said, they both watched as Fury slowly turned back to face them.

"What?"

"Space ship," Vienna reiterate as if Fury had just not heard Yelena.

"N- I don't have one."

"But you know people that do," Yelena  frowned at him.

"And why would I just go and give my friends numbers to you two?" Fury asked, folding his arms as he watched them.

"Because you took our sister away," Vienna said sharply, "and then she died."

"That's a good card, I will give you that. But it won't cut it," he sighed, turning back to look over the railing, "I've got a task for my new avengers and I think you two would be a great help. You guys know Hydra pretty well right?"

"We don't have time-" Vienna started, not liking where this was going.

"You better make time," Fury told them more sternly, "you want to go to space without giving me your best bullshit why? You're gonna do everything I tell you to do."
