"Looks nasty," Natasha said as she pushed a little harder than she had to on the dressing she was putting onto Vienna's abdomen.

Vienna gave a small nod as she winced a little.

Nick Fury wasn't a man who was easily surprised, so seeing Vienna sitting in the compound after disappearing and only reappearing to attack her family barely made him pause. He walked into the room followed by Maria Hill and General Ross.

"Fury what the hell?" Natasha exclaimed standing up and placing herself between them and Vienna.

"You attack my people," Fury said, looking past Natasha and down at Vienna who didn't seem bothered by any of them, "and my loyalty no longer lies with you."

"I don't really like you either," Vienna shrugged as she stood and passed her sister.

"Subject 06 of the Red Widow project, referred to as Vienna Retnikopf by associates," General Ross said as soldiers marched into the room, "you are under arrest for acts of homicide orchestrated by the terrorist organisation known as Hydra. Your rights are restricted under the terms of your arrest negotiated by the United Nations."

"You're not going to arrest me," Vienna smirked, walking up to face Ross.

"Oh I think I am," Ross told her, a displeased look on his face as he stared her down.

"I'm not saying you don't want to," Vienna smiled, "I'm saying you're not capable."

Vienna heard a click and then cold metal against her neck. "You're going in," Fury told her, "there's a name on a list I'm gonna need you to explain."

"I don't care about how you feel about the people I've killed," Vienna told him, her voice dark as she looked back at him through the corner of her eye, "I have no interest in redemption. I am what I am. A trained killer. It's just what I do, there are no feelings involved."

Vienna looked back to General Ross, she gave a slight smile as she leaned in to whisper in his ear.

"You know what I am, you know what I've done," she breathed so that only he could hear, "I wonder if Betty does. Maybe I should give her a demonstration of what I'm like."

Freezing to the spot, General Ross thought frantically about what she said. A threat to his daughters life was not unusual but after reading Vienna's file it was likely that she wouldn't kill her for days if she got her hands on Betty.

"Shoot her," he said quietly. It was the only thing he could think to do.

"Sir?"

"I said shoot her!" he shouted at the soldiers, making them jump and fumble a little as they lifted their guns.

Dealing with Fury first, Vienna ducked and hit the gun from his hand. Vienna then twisted, kicking and catching the rifle of one of the soldiers before getting back on her feet properly and shooting both. Rifile in one hand, Vienna could only smile as she was met with the barrel of a pistol as she turned back around. She had almost forgotten that Maria Hill was there.

"I don't want to hurt you," Vienna told her, "you are my sister's friend."

"Well you've hurt a lot of my friends," Maria shrugged, "including your sister so, I'm airing on the side of wanting to hurt you."

Vienna only chuckled as she dropped the rifle to the floor and stepped up to the pistol so that it was brushing against her lip.

"Do as you please."

General Ross watched in anticipation as Maria paused. Glancing back at Natasha who was edging forward. Vienna may be a asshole but Natasha still loved her like family, she couldn't kill her. Maria lowered her gun.

"If she's under your watch Fury," General Ross said, fidgeting as he spoke, "I suppose the trial can wait if she's needed on official Avengers business. After all the world needs its protectors."

"I'm gonna give you a job that's gonna beat you to within an inch of your life," Fury said as he massaged his wrist.

"Back to normal then," Vienna smiled at him.
